Terry Lamb's mission to poach Kris Keating

* Josh Massoud and James Phelps
* From: The Daily Telegraph
* April 01, 2010 12:00A

CANTERBURY have enlisted the help of club legend Terry Lamb to snare Eels halfback Kris Keating.

Still on the hunt for Brett Kimmorley's replacement after missing out on Daniel Mortimer, the Doggies sent Lamb to Keating's house last week to meet the off-contract Eel and his father.

Lamb knows Kris and his dad Allan from years back when his son Troy played alongside Keating at Cabramatta.

"They are a very good family," Lamb said.

"And I had a bit of a chat."

We are told negotiations are well down the track, but the club is also looking at Dragons young gun Beau Henry - voted 2009 Toyota Cup player of the year - should they miss their second Eels target.

There are birds singing in those trees again... this time J Thurston... a few leave here, a few adjustments there, a scheduled salary over 3 to 5 years, a dream for premiership glory years greater than 2 million in union, sponsorship $$$$ available to top up the fuel tank, JT likes the vibe of the Eels, DA & PO like the idea of JT (so does Ray & others), you scratch my back here and I'll scratch yours there and before you know it, JT has joined the Eels 2011. Then I woke up and it was just a dream or was it.......

i think if weidler does say anything about this it must be a pile of crap :p

Or it's something that everyone else heard 2 weeks ago. So if KK has signed for the dogs, expect to see Weidler spruiking it on next weeks footy show as a "scoop"

I dreamt we won the grand final. Mortimer won MotM.

Last time I dreamt about the grand final the Warriors beat Easts. Huh.

Managers talk, heard a few chit chats along the grape vine. Stagger seems to have his finger on the pulse sometimes so lets see what comes... Also..... It would be good to find out of it is true that Paul Osborne has been dating JT's manager recently.

go marry thurstone and f**k off or are you swifty's alter ego?

I see....... you're using morse code....

Hang on, I'm just looking for the decoding book.......... (2 minutes later)

Ahhh, here it is...... now lets see what Woddy is saying...... hmmm (14 minutes later)

Crikey... Woddy, this is classified... I can't discuss this on an open public forum..... "The moon is a construct, placed in a precise orbit so that the dark side can never be seen".......!!!

"The Hopi said the same thing and even warned about bringing rocks back from the moon. If Alex collier is correct it is equipped with Orion technology for programming genetically altered humans."

"G.I Gurdjieff said much the same thing in the early 20th century. He described people of low consciousness as "food for the moon." Most of what Gurdjieff knew was learned from mystics in the Sufi and Russian Orthodox inner circles. They were busy trying to awaken people in time way back in the day."

Woddy, check this out.... more information from the brotherhood is embedded in this video...

Kim Jong Il Announces Plan To Bring Moon To North Korea

Who Built the Moon
Christopher Knight
Alan Butler

Description:
Scientifically speaking, the moon should not exist. It doesn’t obey the rules of astrophysics and no theory of its origin explains the known facts. While studying the ancient system of geometry and measurement they researched and wrote about in their previous book, Civilization One, the authors discovered that the system also works perfectly on the Moon. They found a consistent sequence of integer numbers when looking at every major aspect of the Moon. No such pattern emerges for any other planet or moon in the solar system. They also discovered that the Moon possesses few or no heavy metals and has no core — in fact, many specialists suspect that the Moon is hollow, which should not be possible. The authors argue persuasively that if higher life only developed on Earth because the Moon is exactly what it is and where it is, it becomes unreasonable to cling to the idea that the Moon is a natural object — an idea with profound implications.

Excerpt:
From Introduction:

For most people the suggestion that the Moon could be artificial is about as sensible as saying that it made of green cheese. This is a perfectly reasonable response based on everything that we know about the world we live in, where there are just two kinds of objects: Those that are here because the random forces of the universe, that we call ‘nature’ caused them to exist or because they were manufactured by human hand.

However super-rational our scientific community believes it is there are still huge numbers of people who have beliefs that cannot be proven by academic means. In a recent poll it was found that no less than 92% of Americans say they believe in God - and other surveys indicate that many millions of people are equally convinced that aliens have visited our planet.

God may well exist, and so too might aliens for all we know, but this book will only concern itself with hard, scientific facts. And unlike so many of those trapped in the politically correct world of academia our published findings will not be constrained by the demands of current convention. The information we put forward here is clear, testable and, we believe, irrefutable.

Despite the fact that the Moon is almost certainly 4.6 billion years old we will demonstrate beyond all reasonable doubt that Earth’s Moon cannot be a natural object. And then we shall explain in detail how its manufacturer left a detailed message of what had been done and for whom.

So, here is our challenge. Put aside your natural incredulity and read this book with an open mind, check out the evidence then ask yourself ‘who built the Moon?’

We have sited three possibilities but maybe you can think of more. However, the last of our possibilities appears to us to be increasingly likely. It is a worrying, staggering, exciting and completely awesome concept. And, if there is even an outside chance that this could be the answer, the world has a major new challenge ahead of it.

Anyway. I`m just thinking. If we do keep both Mateo and Keating, then we all better hope that Mortimer and Keating turn into a really good pair of halves fairly soon. Otherwise we`ll be stuck with them - and no money left to buy an established half. Because to be honest, I haven`t seen anything about Keating yet that makes me think he`s going to be our next great half-back. (Mortimer either, for that matter.)I just hope our management knows what they`re doing. (I`m sure they do :sarcasm:)

While I disagree with your assesment of Robson I do totally agree with what you have just written above.

We need to look outside our current roster for a long term solution as, IMO, we will NOT win a gf relying on Robson or Keating at half.

Two years ago, I was convinced we needed to buy a half-back. I hated Finch as a half-back. Then along came Keating and I supported him, but I still thought we needed to buy a half-back. Then along came Robson. He fitted in with the style we had (when we were off-loading and Hayne was at his best). And that was fine. I believe that Robson is so much better than Finch as a half-back, that I would happily keep him forever rather than have Finch back. A lot of my pro-Robson posts are an attempt to put things in perspective, as Robson isn`t anywhere near as bad as some people on here suggest he is. So when he does good things, I point them out. However, I am aware of his limitatons. If Parramatta start playing flamboyantly again, he`ll go well. His stability will help us. But if not.... well.
And he`s probably not the sort of half we`ll want to keep for the next three or four years. Not the sort of half you would mould a team around. More like the sort of half who would 'fit in' with what you`ve already got.
I agree with you. I`m just worried that we might put all our eggs in the one basket with Keating and Mortimer .......and not come up trumps. It`s early days however, and I hope I`m wrong. Keating reminds me a bit of Saints little five-eight, Jamie Soward. He looked like a dynamic little player with no football brain and no organisational ability at all. And he now seems to be coming along very well. Keating might end up like him (minus the kicking game). Hope so.

The dogs have apparently signed Beau Henry from the St George u20 comp.

If that the case, then I dont think they will be chasing KK. Maybe he will be around next year.
