Would be interesting if that happens and then reading Karma's thoughts

There wouldn't be anyone happier than me.

If you think I sit here hoping that he plays bad - you've got me completely messed up.

No one more than I, wants to see him go on, kick ass, and prove his doubters wrong.

If I'm wrong about Dureau in a few years time, and he is still our starting 7, and dominating games at NRL level - I'd be 100% happy to have been wrong.

My logic suggests otherwise though...

We'll see.

I'd love to see him get MOM tonightt. It would mean we win.

Please...just like last week you'd write it off as a fluke, dredge up the usual crap that suits your arguement and continue to bag the guy...

Oh crap Alex 28.

I talk of him with a view to longevity, not just one great game, or one bad.

Last week wasn't a fluke, and I never claimed it was. He has ability no question - anyone who plays first grade has ability to some extent - I'm waiting for a string of games where he shows consistency, instead of taking 1 step forward and 2 steps back.

Not including what happens tonight, I'd give his season a pass mark of 6 out of 10 - taking every game into account. Maybe that's all we need for now, but is that our future? I'm not sure.

It isn't crap at all - just re-read your comments in the KOTW voting. He had a pretty good game, yet you took your normal opportunity to have a shot at him...

It's clear you don't like the guy. I don't necessarily think he is the future either. He is probably the best we have got for now and something we have to support rather than constantly bag (no matter how good his performance).

Just see the positives in him once in a while :)

I did take a shot at him in the KOTW voting, because I think we can all agree, that intercept was truly woeful- I mean not even close to hitting anyone other than Inglis - and he shouldn't be immune from criticism for that just because he kicked a field goal. It was a game changing play.

Because of the pro Dureau contingent in here, I think massive mistakes like that are too easily forgotten when it comes to criticising ME, for having a crack at him.

And yes, the positive last week was his unwavering confidence in his ability even after his error - impressive.

Smith made the very good point that a guy less smart and confident than Dureau would not have stuck to the gameplan after the intercept - but Dureau kept getting the ball to the outside men and we won the game.
If Dureau is going to be given the plan of throwing big passes and the opposition has a guy like Ingliss, sh*t will happen - and if Scotty was the sort of guy who goes to water when sh*t happpens - we lose.

I was talking to Scotty after the game he said he threw that so that Inglis would intercept so the game would be a tad interesting. He also mentioned that he would like to meet Karmawave and smash him hard in the face.

More on a seroius note. Karma it seems you deadset want Scotty to fail then crash and burn. I cant sense any positivity from you to want to see him improve... Am I wrong?

Read my post a few posts up.

Of course you're wrong. I'm not some hater who hopes he plays terrible. I hope he succeeds 100% and I'm wrong in the long run.

Insider mail: Karma tried to pick up Dureau in some bar back in the off season (due to his fettish for little fellas) but got rejected bigtime by Scotty. So now he hates all little guys. Explains his super hate of Scotty.

Unrequited lust! ;-)

Big Tim, I wish I could just leave it alone completely, but everyone can't stop chirping about it - and I feel obligated to keep responding
