Knights V Dragons Match Discussion

Im of the opinion that we should pick whichever halves pairing would be best for who we are playing.

If we are playing a game where we need to gain field possession to dominate the game then Id go with Scotty.

If we are playing a game where we need to defend alot Id go with Rogers.

If we are playing a game where we can move the ball around and attack as we like Id have Mullen/Rogers/Scotty all in the side.

thats how I see it, pick the halves based off who would be most effective against our opposition or who is in the best current form.

Ask saint's fans how they feel about Rogers when last year he really went out of his way to lose them a finals game.

I guess it was witnessed by everyone really, because all the Knights players would have been watching him f*ck up in semi final while they were on their end of season trip.

I think to Smith's credit he's given Rogers roles that he's capable of.

Having him run more and kick basically never is what he needs to do.

Provided it's not Rogers ...

It was more a general comment to the forum.
well that too is kinda dumb because a lot of people have been wrapping him after last night. he gained no more credibility with me, because i know what he's capable of in one minute. it's what he often does in the next minute that worries the hell out of me.

Rogers HAS played well in the last couple weeks, credit where it's due JD.

Nowhere near as good as Karma or others would have you believe.
But good for him all the same.

Still I don't want him in the side until he cuts his BS errors and penalties out.

Fair's fair everyone makes them so he's not alone there. But it's the context in when they occur or how blatantly poor that bugs me.

He has, I'll give him that. But IMO most top four teams have halves who can actually attack. More often than not both the 6 and 7 will have half-decent kicking games. At the moment with Rogers and Mullen, Mullo's the only one with the kicking game.

He has, but he's been far from a standout IMO. He's done a few good things (a few passes against Manly were top class), but he's also doing stupid things which haven't cost us ... yet.

Diferent team, differect coach. Brian Smith is a far better coach than Nathan Brown was and ever will be, and is able to build game plans to get the best out of his players.

And just as many are baying for his blood so Golden Boy can get back into the team and wave to them next Saturday night.

Your sheer arrogance is astounding.
I hope you don't break your elbow reaching around patting yourself on the back.

You act like your opinion and only your opinion is right.

You're right though. The only reason people want Scott back is so they can get a wave you sad f**k.

Ahem, why do I bother with my long postulations... I gave you a massive rant on why I wanted Dureau... and a wave and a smile was somewhere near the bottom ;p

Don't take it personally Keeney. That wasn't aimed at you.

It is difficult having non biased debates with certain people in this forum who have Scott Dureau featured in their signature mate thats all.

Because at the same time, I've said 1 million times already, and it seems totally overlooked, that I too can live with Dureau being halfback if it means we win games and play best with him there.

At the moment, I don't believe thats the case is all.

And you're not un-biased? ;-)
