Hercules actually recruited quite well this summer, so I thought they were going to have a good campaign, but not winning in the Camp Nou good. But with a name like that, quite frankly they belong in the upper echelons of world football.

Funnily enough, Hercules' participation in La Liga is under a cloud at the moment, as a case against them (which has been spearheaded by Betis, who were just pipped by themm for the third promotion spot) for match-fixing during last season's Segunda Division is before the courts right now. I'm not really sure how strong the evidence is against them, but the decision should be made by the end of this month I hear.

Good to see Valencia back on top of the table (well, sharing it with Atletico anyway). Unlikely hero Maduro.

Watched a chunk of the Real - Osasuna game and was pretty impressed with how Ozil seemed to fit in.

Wonder if he'll remain the starting lineup when Kaka returns from injury.

we looked terrible. back to the days of Dinho/Eto'o when they were too busy quarrelling (or in Dinhos case, Partying) to worry about football.

I had to lol @ Andrew Orsatti saying "Barca certainly are no unbeatable at home which Hércules have shown in the past" referring to the 1996/97 season  How far back does he want to go?

Adriano was awful though and even tough Valdes was at fault for the first he stopped it from being 0-3 or 0-4

Real Madrid have a goalless draw with Levante. Barca with a 3-1 win over Bilbao.

Valencia retain their spot at the top with a 2-0 win against Sporting.

Seville have been sh*t, loosing to 2 of newly promoted teams already and Fabiano has played something like about 30 minutes of footy so far this season and he's not injured.

The sacking maybe harsh after only a handful of games but no one can say why Fab has had bugger all time on the pitch.

Come to think of it, getting knocked out in the Champions League qualifying stage (when they were expected to progress) would also have played a part in it.

Makes more sense when you consider that

*sigh*

Out of the top 4 as Atletico lose 1-3 to Sevilla.

Valencia stay at the top of La Liga after a 2-1 win against Bilbao

Seville were never going to lose with a new coach, always happens when you sack the coach

Barca slip up against Mallorca with a 1-1 draw at home.

In contrast Real Madrid thrashed Deportivo 6-1.
