rumours that you guys have made an offer for Sebastian Bassong

Solid player, wouldn't look out of place.

I'm confused about the M'Vila rumours. Last season we needed another holding player to challenge Song, and now we have Frimpong. Maybe Arsene has realised that Song isn't as good as he thinks?

Overall, M'Vila is quality, and a regular in the French team. Some reports have him valued at 10m pounds, whilst others state that we've had a 20m Euro bid rejected. I'd take ANYONE at this stage.

Unsure about Mertesacker too. Once again, some reports have said that he left Germany yesterday, others have quotes from 'sources' stating that he wont leave Bremen. The Mirror says that Arsene has made a 20m biz for Hazard too :

In some good news, Jack may play against Udinese. He trained over the weekend without any problems.

The next nine days will no doubt define our season.

I'd go as far to say the Udinese game will define Arsenal for the next couple of seasons. Massive game.

The Udinese game is the biggest of recent seasons i'd say.

Good players definitely won't want to come here if we can't offer them CL, which is all we really have to offer these days, we can't give high wages or the chance to win trophies so that's our one and only drawcard at the moment. We lose that we are basically fcked.

Unless of course Usmanov takes over and turns us into another Chelsea. Which i would really prefer not to happen. I'm not the biggest fan of silent Stan but we are a club with principles and i'd rather not see us turn into a club with a sugar daddy.

Whats the word on Nasri, he staying or going?
If he plays against Udinese and gets cup tied I'm sure the interest in him will almost dissapear from City or elsewhere.

It's a two edged sword really.

Arsene can not play him, risk losing what is easily our most important game of the season, if not the most important game since the CL Semi against Man U in 2008/2009 merely to top up an already substantial transfer budget.

If he plays, he wont sign for City that's for sure. Meaning that the club could potentially miss out on some decent coin. However, spending another season at Arsenal could quite easily re-ignite his passion for the club (which he says is still there) and maybe even sign a new contract. Especially if Arsenal win the tie and due to CL participation, are able to attract some quality signings within the next eight-nine days.

Personally, I hope he is played.

I'd say he is staying by the sound of it

That's my gut feeling too. I think Samir also realises that he wont start at City either. Where'as at Arsenal he'll be the King of the midfield. Feeding a footballers ego is just as important as feeding his wallet.

If he does stay on for this year, surely he's gotta sign a contract extension. Wouldn't be fair to Arsenal if they lose him for free at the end of the season.

Arsène Wenger has been handed a two-match ban after being found guilty of breaching the terms of a previous Champions League sanction, Uefa has confirmed.

The Arsenal manager was suspended from the touchline for last week's 1-0

Champions League play-off first-leg victory over Udinese at the Emirates. He was found to have passed messages to his assistant, Pat Rice, from the stands and via a third party, the first-team coach Boro Primorac.

Wonder if this will have an impact in the away leg to Udinese?

Bit of a farce imo in the sense that I'm sure this happens all the time.

Alot of rumours of us splashing 30-50 mill around for players. I'm getting pretty sick of all these "Arsenal set for triple swoop" rumours that have been happening for the past month with nothing to show for it.

Do something you old scarecrow!!!
