Hope you guys get a few big names :) We need two North London clubs in the top four at least, preferably excluding Chelsea!!!

I'm hearing Honda to Arsenal. I like him, he's not quite Hazard/Goetze but a good creative playmaker that would compliment Wilshere in midfield very nicely.

Edit: Nevermind, Honda has just been ruled out by his agent. Oh well, still fingers crossed for Hazard.

'A reliable source' says Wenge and Villas-Boas were seen together at Heathrow. Could be about one of or any combination of Benayoun/Malouda/Alex

Per is someone I've wanted at Arsenal for years. He is precisely what we need.

Bremen captain with 70+ caps (that's 70 more than Cahill), a year younger and 7-10m cheaper. WC, CL and UEFA experience. A reliable, bullsh*t tall defender, who reads the game brilliantly.

Combine that with Ju : S.Korea captain with 50+ caps.

If that isn't 'experience' then I don't know what is.

Twitter is usually my first port of call for deadline day activity. If you're not on Twitter (lucky you) then head over to : http://news.arseblog.com/2011/08/transfer-deadline-day-arseblog-news-understands/

Arseblog is generally, very reliable.

I can't even complete a list of players we've been linked to, it changes by the second. There are some reports saying that Hazard has officially handed in a transfer request, and others that deny it. There are some that say that Arsenal has flown to France to personally oversee a Hazard or M'Vila deal, but others state that he's there for a UEFA conference in Nice.

Favourite day of the year!

I'd take all three.

I'm not a big Benayoun fan, but he would be a better option out wide than Bendtner. I remember we were heavily linked with Alex after Arsenal played PSV in the CL a few years ago. Needless to say Chelsea were also watching.

Didn't Chelsea own Alex at that time? I thought they bought him and loaned him to Holland to get a work permit?

Hazard seems like a no go for you at the mo. But it could change.

Ah you may be right there Sir.

I do remember watching the game, and thinking "That's the CB we need". Funny how three years later I'm still hoping for the same thing.

I was never confident of getting Hazard tbh. Martin is a better chance. L'Equipe are saying that Rennes wont accept anything less than 34m Euro's for M'Vila. Which is fine by me, ability wise, the lad isn't worth anything over 15-20 max. Had he not signed a five year contract earlier this year, it'd be a different story.

Two confirmed signings since the United game, at least one still to come, a piece of deadwood shipped on and possibly more to follow.

Pretty productive few days IMO.

Traore gone is great news lol

Bringing in Park and Santos is good for our team and Per looks like he will be announced as well. Hopefully we can get a midfielder or two and things will be looking positive again.

A few Twitter sources have said that the Per deal has been finalised, and to expect an official announcement shortly.

Dont mind these mid signings, good for stregnth depth and experience (which is what weve been asking for for years). I think also they indicate in the next window or at the end of the year we make 1 or 2 really big signings.
