Mario Gotze will never be an Arsenal player.

EDIT: Also, I'm curious about how Gotze, Wilshere and Ramsey can play in a three-man midfield.

By January? Name your price, name your odds

The fact that you made it a hot tip means it's wrong just like Nightingale, Boyd, Bennett to Souffs, Souffs winning the comp, Inglis Churchill Medal winner, Carney to the Stains...

You also seem to have the impression I give a shit where Götze goes but Arsenlol will be better for him with no competition he won't waste away on the bench like he will at the Franco's or Barca. His international spot will be replaced so he'd better be careful

edit

Lmao your hot tip comes from the Mirror smh

I don't bet, but I reckon when his team are out of CL contention and Bundesliga contention he'll be desperate to get to a big team in a bigger league and we'll get him for 30-40m.

Their best players are their oldest, they massively overpaid for Torres, Mata is good but not a game changer. Won't surprise me if they finish as low as 4th.

Disagree with you on Mata. That guy is all class and I wish Wenger got him instead of Chelsea.

Never the less, GREAT win today and will put a lot of confidence in the team. Ramsey has been playing out of skin these last 3 games. Djourou gives me nightmares... and when Wenger put Jenkinson on I got even more nervous. Hopefully we clean things up in defence with Vermaelen back.

Santos/Gibbs - Mertesacker - Vermaelen - Kos?

Anyone but Djourou...

Gotze as a CAM infront of them two? Or two attacking mids infront of a holding mid? The 4-3-3 formation with just one CM is outdated. The current trend is three central mids, Barcelona style.

Basically what we have now but with Gotze replacing Arteta.

Bunniesman's dribble is even funnier given that RVP's hat-trick came off a hat-trick of defensive mistakes and one of the goals was a tap-in
But apparently he is single-handedly "dragging Arsenal to the top four" Let's ignore Walcott and Gervinho who tore Chelsea up and set up RVP's goals.

NO RVP, we wouldn't even finish top 6.

And it's not just about this game, I've lost count of how many goals in how many games he's scored for all of 2011.

Walcott was outstanding against Chelsea but he has been terrible in some games this season, Gervinho has started to put together high quality performances but he started slowly. The one constant has been RVP.

It's 28 goals in 27 games, you would have known that had you watched the game.
 "Arsenal" supporter, you don't even know what's happening in your favorite team
The "one constant" has been RVP. Because he was superb with missed penalties and few goals early in the season wasn't he?
You're delusional.

"Lost count" was a figure of speech ffs.

Best player in the premier league. Top 5 in the entire world. But like I already said, let's move on because I'm not convincing anyone they're wrong and noone will convince me I'm wrong on this issue.

Big CL game coming up, we win it and we seal a final 16 spot.

RVP is the best player at Arsenal. He is the difference between finishing in the top 4 or not.

As for Goetze, Arsenal don't need him. He would not solve any of the Arsenal problems. Mascherano would be better, a striker who can help with the goals and a decent defender.

No need for Mascherano, Song is quality and they have Wilshere to come back to partner either Ramsey or Arteta.
Gotze over Arteta.
A better right winger than Walcott.
Say they bought Gotze and a good left back - Santos is a bad nut defensively - and a good centre-back it would appear as;
Szceszny
Sagna
Mertesacker/another CB
Vermaelen
New LB/Santos
Song
Wilshere
Gotze
Gervinho
New RW/Walcott
RVP

No point buying a new striker when RVP is in form there.
RVP is their best player - no one is disputing that, but to say it is a one-man effort is laughable.

Arsenal only have so much money. So why pay the stupid amount quoted for Gotze?

Leaving the debate of is he is actually good enough to improve the Arsenal team to oneside, he is a good attacking midfielder. Arsenals problems are not in the good attacking midfielder department.

A genuine holding midfielder will help protect the defence better than Song does, and also releases Song to play the more box to box game he likes.

RvP is rather injury prone, and if he goes down injured again then they are left with either Chamack or Gervinho upfront. That is not a good place to be.
He is the difference between Arsenal being in the top 4 or not. So whilst Arsenal are obviously not a one man team, they are very reliant on one man to get Champs league football.
The difference between Arsenal and the other top teams isn't that they are reliant on one player. All the teams have key players, but the gap between him and and the second choice player in his position.

Its better to fix problems before they arise, not afterwards. Hence get decent backup for him now. Thats where Arsenal went wrong in the summer with Nasri and Fab.

Gervinho in the short term and AOC in the long term are more than adequate replacements for him.

Fabregas's departure is the one that is hurting. Wenger is working miracles yet again just to keep us competitive, but not getting a like for like replacement for Fabregas was a critical error of Wengers... unless Ramsey grows into a world class player before the end of the season.

I wish we signed Mata and Samba in the off season. Samba is what we are missing at the back... Mata has the Fabregas-esque creativity we are missing. Mind you Ramsey has been playing exceptional these last few games and has been sparking up a lot of opportunity from the middle of the park. But a player like Goetze would help that situation.

Our problem is lacking a leader at the back - someone who can direst the team for set plays and crosses. Perhaps now that Vermaelen is back this problem might diminish. But I still think someone like Chris Samba would be awesome... the guy has also proven he can score with his head. Wouldn't cost us stupid amount of money either.

Imagine Samba and Mertesacker in the box for corners. We'll be like Blackburn were a few seasons ago from set pieces.
