I dont know how you lost that game!

Poor concentration, bad luck, a fourth choice CB playing as a RB who was later sent off and an inexperienced young DM playing as a LB.

I turned it off at HT and opted to get some more sleep. We were in control and unlucky to not be ahead by more.

Did Squillaci make an appearance?

It's beyond frustrating, as we would have finally leapfrogged Chelski.

Frustrating. Mertesacker dissapointed, his biggest job is protecting us aerially and some much smaller players got their heads to balls he should have cleared a foot earlier.

Squillaci is trash. I'd rather Wenger himself be our 5th-6th-7th choice substitute in the back 4 than him. No coincedence when he got on we went to pieces. He should never play again.

Not the defences fault. Theo and Gervinho were abysmal and our defence has been carrying our shit attack for a month.

We have scored:
1 against Fulham
1 against QPR
1 against Wolves
2 against Aston Villa
0 against City
1 against Everton
1 against Olympiacos
4 against Wigan

So we have averaged a goal a game since the Wigan game on the 6th of December. Fingers have to be pointed at our offence. Theo, Gervinho and Ramsey, i left RvP out for obvious reasons, have lacked creativity and finishing for most of the season, let alone the last month.

We had today's result coming and hopefully it's the wake up call Wenger needed to finally give Oxlade a chance over Theo or bring someone in.

Transfer window blues. All we'll get is Henry and maybe another shitty fullback on loan. The life of an arsenal supporter. Linked to everyone and his dog... Signs scraps (not including Henry)..

This article says pretty much everything I'm thinking. We're on track to make massive profits. If we were pennyless I'd be fine with not making huge purchases, but the club makes money, lots of it and every window Wenger sits on it like its his own money.

Wengers' brilliance is the reason we've come back from where we were early in the season. But it's tough to give someone credit for fixing a terrible situation that only happened because of his stubbornness.

I'll be disappointed and bloody angry if we don't buy at least one bigtime signing this month.

I wont be surprised if there's no movement apart from Titi's loan tbh. We still have : Wilshere, Diaby, Sagna, Gibbs and Santos to return. If we bring in a big name CB/RB/LB or midfielder, it could potentially and easily damage the harmony of the squad, which has been solidified by the performances over the past few months. Mainly because it'll mean one of our starting squad will be relegated to bench duties. But in saying that, I do fear of Arteta/Song/Ramsey/RvP/Vermaelen/Mertesacker becoming fatigued as the season progresses further. A serious injury to any of the above and we could find ourselves in a fair bit of trouble. I think a decent, solid midfielder wouldn't hurt. Not a superstar, but someone who is able to rotate with Song, Arteta or Ramsey.

Apart from another quality striker, and once Wilshere, Diaby and Sagna return, I'm content with our squad depth until the end of the season.

Irrelevant. If we offered the money we have, we'd get him. What the selling club wants comes exactly last on the list of what matters.

He wants to move, everyone knows that, if we offered $40m (we have $40m) he'd be ours by the weekend.

 Your gonna have to bid well over £40 million for him, Dortmund won't sell him mid-season for anything below a ridiculous Torres-like transfer.
Keep on thinking that a vast majority of a club's profits will be directed straight at one player.
Quite amusing considering Gotze himself just signed a new contract with Dortmund a few days ago.

I'd be content with not doing anything big now if I had any reason to be confident we'd make a serious push for a big player in the summer winow. But there's no indication of that. Last year we lost 2 star players and didn't even get like for like replacements. If we didn't do anything after losing multiple stars what are the odds we spend some of our many millions in the bank on a player this summer.

Wenger is a genius on the pitch and with the players he has. But he simply isn't that good in the transfer market.

Missed out on the likes of Hart, Jones and Hazard when they were much cheaper. He doesn't have the killer instinct in that department, I wish the club would bring in someone to focus solely on spending our money and have Wenger focus on what he does best.

“[I am expecting a] quiet [market]. Europe is depressed and there is not a lot of money available, only some clubs who have exceptional resources. Let's say that clubs who are not linked with the economic environment at the moment can buy!”
Oh ffs. If there is not a lot of money available and most clubs cant buy and you're due to make a 60m+ pound profit THEN NOW IS THE TIME TO SPEND MONEY.

Not wait until everyone else is cashed up and inflating transfer fees even more.

I think people underestimate the influence and work of David Dein. He was responsible for the negotiating of player contracts and the transfer of new players. It's no surprise that Arsenal has experience flimsy re-signings and transfers since David's departure.

Wenger shouldn't have total responsibility for things on and off the pitch concerning the squad. If he wants player X, he should be able to then tell Arsenal staffers to grab that player (within the budget and wage limitations).

Dein fell out with the board when they wouldn't give a seat to Usmanov and rejected his investments into the transfer/wage budgets. Pity that. He was hugely important.
