Not sure if they’re the ‘best’ but my favourites are Roger Taylor and Nate Smith.

Nate who? This guy.

John Bonham
Untouchable imo, my missus visited his grave in Rushock England. It had some drumsticks on it, a beer can and a note saying "untouchable"
His drumming in D'yer Maker is full on and the Echo in When the Levee Breaks is insane. Great story if you search how they produced the sound back in the day when tech wasn't as good as it is today.
Just before John died he said you can't hide in a band if your a bad drummer.... Well he didn't have to as his drumming was and still is the benchmark for drumming imo. Just have to remember the founders of rock because future musicians just added to their talent.

Rest in peace John ... keep on drumming.

Alexis Von Kraven playing Oh Fortuna.
Great special effects, awedome pedal work. I would love to have been in the pit.
Youtube has heaps of Alexis Von Kraven stuff.

Inspired by the guitarist thread.

For me it's Danny Carey from Tool, the dude must have about 10 arms, he manages to play about 3 different time signatures at once.
I agree mate.
Danny has a great repertoire.
"Pneuma" is a story piece but if your patient and listen to all of it I think most will appreciate it.
