I think the young brigade of Lawrie, Leilua and Host held their own. I wouldn’t be looking in their direction for reasons why we lost.

To be honest , been very disappointed T Sims and Frizel this year ... Not sure if its injuries they are carrying or they have given up on Marys game plans ..... Just not the same players ....

He's not a lock imo...

He's perfect for lock. One thing we've missed since JDB got dropped is a player at lock with ball skills. Lawrie is a good young forward but I'm happy for him to play at prop or bench lock where his size and defence are handy but he doesn't have the skills Jack or Luch have.
I also think he's ready to step in and make that his permanent position, he's improving his fitness and defence all the time.

Still think his defence is always going to be iffy his an arm grabber and to me you need to be able to tackle as a child lock and his attack is good but defence....

So long as he sets up two tries for every one he lets in....

locks are always made to make more tackles and are most often the first and second defender I don’t think he has the stamina to do that all game or for more than 20

Cowboys are about to and have added a lot of value players prior to June 30 since their squad was announced and appraently near settled for 2019 on Nov 1, yeh they lost Barba....but how much was he on? Mc Guire, Kahu, about to be another fullback of value and quality.
Meanwhile back at the ole Dragon ranch we lost JDB, have and extra 233K to spend, 2 spots to fill and apparently minimal cap room

I suspect Graham is biting into a fair chunk of that now.
I still maintain it was a very good deal for him and in the end the Dogs and highly questionable for us.
We must have taken a leaf out of Des's book and done some back ending with existing players.
