Make a bid for Crocker?

Maybe he`s a bit of a grub at times. But he`s certainly not in the same league as Greg Bird. Glassing a girl in the face? Come on. I think Crocker has a lot more to offer than his toughness, though. He`s a great off-loader and a very intelligent footballer. Got speed still. I reckon he`d be tremendous. Make him captain and he might settle down a bit, too.

I was just about to write this, im glad someone said it first.

Difference between Grub on the Field and Grub off the Field.

On the field can be fixed with coaching - off the field (IE: personality problems) cannot easilly be fixed by a coach, more likely a Shrink!!

Crocker in a Parra Jersey is mouthwatering!!! I luv him - old school toughness that younger guys can learn from!

Why so much discrimination here?

A grub can't help what he does as he is born tha way.

Do you think Grubs call other Grubs Greg Bird? :D

Sorry Jess for picking on your posts but

a) The younger guys are learning from Caylo, Hindy?????
b) Our forwards coach isn't helping????

Nah no drama's, i see what you're saying, but are they going to learn mongrel from Caylo/Hindy and the forwards coach?
They would obviously learn alot of skill and stamina - but Crocker is just a hard nut - a toughie that every team should have one of. I could see him having alot of influence on NYC players...

Hindy and Caylo are great players, but would you say they are the same type of player as Crocker?

Which is why I didn't say sign him for $1. Whatever the minimum is, 40k or 50k or whatever, sign him up for that during the years we won't be playing him.
Yep, I think the minimum is $55K now.

As you say, shouldn't be a problem. Throw him into the top 25, and make teh sacrifice by back-loading some of the not-yet proved/developed guys (Oake, Hauraki, younger ones on longer deals) final year payments.

I think Pete is right though, Storm look to be making room for him under the cap... he probably still lives down there atm and doesn't fancy an interstate move for one year.

Definately not!!!

Crocker has really cleaned himself up while at the Storm, from what he was at the Rooters.
He is someone for younger blokes to look up to for sure.

Hindy and Caylo IMO... have become a bit stale with a lot of things they are doing. Its kinda like having the same teacher with the same methods for years on end, I reckon both of them would spark up if Crocker came on board as well. It would do them good.

I think Crocker has got more SKILLS than Cayless and Hindmarsh combined. We won`t get him, but it`s interesting to conject about.

here's one for you...

I wonder if Junior Paulo is on a heavily incentive based contract?..reason being he appears to be out of action for 6 months..and there could be an opening for another forward.

Grubs can`t help what they do? I think that`s sending out the wrong message.
I mean't real grubs as in the insects?? Flies are grubs when they are small right?

They don't do what Bird has done so why give them a bad rep.
