I would have no problem with the charges against Foran and Robertson except for the fact that the NRL has never taken action against players running in unless they came in throwing punches. All these 2 did was tackle both Stewart and Blair in order to stop the fight.
As for Brett, people will see what they want to. He came in with open hands and clearly grabbed for Blairs shoulders. When he missed, he came back and grabbed Blair and never looked like attacking him once he had been dragged to the ground.

he got what he got because it looked spectacular. also the distance they ran to get involved (albeit to break it up). over the eyars other players have run in and nothings happened, but because the event came under media scrutiny the nrl typically over-reacted.
unfortunately common-sense in the charges wasnt considered, Sisa Waqa is trying to break it up, yes i understand he isnt meant to leave the bench but he's trying to stop 5 manly players who are on top of his team mate and because the MRC is trying to make a statement he's facing a few weeks out
b. stewart reminded me of waterhouse on price in origin (cept stewart missed)
We've already done it once this seasonThe only players that should have faced charges are Glenn Stewart, Adam Blair, Darcy Lussick and possibly Brett Stewart. The bench players IMO did nothing wrong. Entering the field of play is BS since the clock had stopped and there was no play occuring. This is nothing more than a media witchhunt backed by idiots like Bennett who are trying to get their team a leg up during the finals. Bennett clearly doesn't believe his crippled team can beat a full strength Manly or Melbourne team.

Yeah, when they were playing half decent footy. The Dragqueens in their current state would be lucky to beat the Titans. They only got past the Warriors last week because the Warriors were terrible and they got away with one of the luckiest tries fo the year after the ref should have called held. Sure it should have been a penalty for the Warriors player coming in later but I can assure you the Warriors would have preffered the penalty than a try.

Manly have copped fine from #nrl and will plead guilty to charges against Brett Stewart, Michael Robertson and Kieran Foran.

Well said Peter, " Growl of approval " not one person in the pub voiced otherwise, however the tone changed when 4 " Manly " ( is there a misnomer here? ) players ran the 40m not to break up the fight but to grab their pound of flesh and were then joined by the Manly bench 9 to1.
check the footage near the end when you get a view of stewarts face as he turns the mongrel looks rabid he wanted to hurt blair there is no doubt about it
This is the NRL, suspending a player for having an angry look on his face is not something that would particularly surprise me. Having the decision supported by deluded Dragqueens supporters who see their only chance at a premiership appearing through mass suspensions to opposing teams also does not surprise me.
Oh well, they can cling onto a round 16 win as their biggest achievement of 2011, right up their with their Charity Shield win.
