People on here carrying on about the sentences and the weeks obviously don't understand the sytem.
Brett Stewart was charged with a grade 3 Contrary Conduct carrying 360 base points so he would have bben facing 3 weeks, but as he has a perfect record for more than 7 years he recieved a 25% reduction and for an early gui;ty plea he recieved a further 25% reduction leaving him with 180 points and a weeks + carry over points.
SO... carrying on about the NRL giving him a week off is rediculious, also comparing him to players with very patchy judiciary histories is completely irrelivant.
For the record had he had a previous offence in the past 2 years we would have recieved 20% penalty meaning 430 points and 4 weeks, so it is only his perfect record that saved his season.

Funny you should mention that. That Dave Taylor could get 5 weeks for a tackle that had nothing in it, while someone who throws punches while 5 on 1 gets less is ridiculous. Lussick getting a lesser sentence than Taylor shows how dumb the NRL judiciary system is.
Can't blame the judiciary for wanting to lol@souffs

Spot on Beachy. All those Manly haters should read this and zip it.
Besides, the NRL owe Brett 4 weeks for wrongfully suspending him back in 2009.

No they don't owe him anything, and this is not a square up.
Ther review pannel call the offense as they see fit, they saw B Stewarts actions as a grade 3 contrary conduct, wich on its own is a pretty heft charge.
The fact that he is a complete clean skin and this is his first real brain snap (and it was a beauty) has saved him.

Yeh I know its not. Just trying get under some peoples skin who don't wanna give Brett a break.

By the way, it's bloody Rothfield who thinks its all a square up.

All the minor charges were on the money and previous records should and will help players reduce their time on the side lines.

As for Blair and Glen Stewart, Iam afraid they are gone, they have been trailed before the media and everyone wants plenty of blood. They will get the rest of the season for sure.

Both clubs final campaign will be dealt a massive blow as both players play such a big part in both attacking and defensive structures at their respective clubs. I think the whole thing has been blown up by the media and it a shame two players have probably played their last game for the season

apparently Manly are going to defend the charge against Glenn Stewart because of a loophole in the judiciary system...haven't heard the details yet - wondering if anyone has & can share the info ?

After hearing the audio on Ch9, they might have a point. Glenn Stewart was sin-binned on the advice of referee Gavin Badger who said he ran a distance & threw punches. In Manly's favour, Glenn Stewart didn't throw any punches in the "1st brawl". Therefore, Badger's evidence is incorrect.

So that means the whole thing should of been prevented in the first place?
