Just looking at the online news and I think Packer is gone now, trial by media.

At normal speed this is where I believe he just brushes his head. Then you get the following.

Mick Innes said that Packer put CG head in an “awful position” ...crap ..His arm wasn’t even in a position to be able to do a crusher tackle..Gutherson milked it..With a bit more respect from the Jury for WT and I think Packer protested and sounds like Clint bounced back straight away He hopefully is cleared..

As a team our depth is slowly improving more so in the forwards, when we needed some spark from the backline last night there were a few players there that virtually offered nothing, we need more from our 1,3&4.

Doueihi surely won't be suspended. That shoulder charge wouldn't have cracked an egg.

I think I'm in the minority, but I don't think there was much in Packers crusher either. Nearly completely missed and really only brushed over the top of his head. He will get suspended because of who be is though.

Those sideways runs are such momentum killers. Would be better off just running straight and getting a quick play the ball.
Sometimes Nofo gets through with those side way runs ...If there was someone running off him might be better instead of standing and staring

That new guy from Easts looks good..from the clip he looks a little bit cocky and could be a bit special .He plays centre and wing..prob getting a head of myself but if he’s good enough who does he replace Douhi? Madge could make him a fullback. He looks pretty quick with skill to burn.

Packer walks a fine line, he absolutely deserved the 2 weeks for the high shot v Canberra. The ‘crusher’ on Gutherson was a complete non event, he actually missed Gutherson and drove his arm over his head. If he gets charged we should absolutely fight it. Either way though we get Twal, Mikaele and Garner back next week so it softens any blow that may be coming.

The panel would all hate what Smatterson did leaving WT and the manner he did it ..may therefore lean in Packers favour..He’s everyone’s hero?

A lot to like about that effort. At full strength we win I think. But it just shows we need everything to go our way to beat these 'top' sides. Absolutely copped it again in the penalty count, and I swear the ref missed a couple of knock-ons. One from Mahoney led directly to Sivo's second try. Can't catch a break with calls or head knocks either.

Blore just has to remain in the 17 for the rest of the year. He absolutely smashed some blokes. That episode with N Brown trying to run over him three times in a row then cowering away afterwards was amazing.

Absolutely nothing in those 'crusher' tackles. Parra players should be cited for feigning injury if anything.

Doueihi's positioning was an obvious concern. But you'd have to think that's Madge's game plan.

Packer; well he's well and truly redeemed himself. Well done, sir.

If Packer or AD get pinged then I may as well follow soccer as this game is getting so f#%king soft, Gutherson ,looks like a soccer player, acted like a soccer player milking.
Exactly It was laughable..esp during a past era..Blocker would laugh at that one

Wests Tigers prop Russell Packer is facing a one-match ban after being charged over a crusher-style tackle in the loss to Parramatta on Thursday night.

The Kiwi international was charged with grade-one dangerous contact to the head/neck over an incident in the 24th minute in a tackle on Eels skipper Clint Gutherson.

Packer will be banned for one game irrespective of whether he submits an early guilty plea or challenges the judiciary.

What a friggin' joke!

I'd need to see it again but it looked like he held him then quickly dropped some weight on him and bent his head sideways . .it wasn't sustained.
.just a quick push but he got him. The other one by either Talau or Blore or whoever was total nonsense
yes packers arm slide past his head . but there is no consistent pressure on the head .
guthro whines every tackle he's in . even seivo , the first penalty given. he's puts his hand on his head.
two replays later there is nothing and the biggest give away total silence from the nine commentary team.

what else can the nrl do for parra?

I watched the game again and not only did Gutherson milk it, so did Sivo and Brown.

Brown Touched his head, got a penalty then got up straight away when the whistle blew wanting to have a run at Blore.

I thought the NRL was going to come down on clubs who do this.

On our side, Nofo just didn’t seem interested at all, not sure what was going on with him.

That is hell coming at you.

Players continually under estimate Russell’s enormous power.

The toughest and most brutal forward in the game.

Matts is not the smallest or weakest bloke out there.

He ploughed into him like a freight train. Most of us would still be in icu after that.
