Did well IMO despite the circumstances. Disappointed with the lapse for the first try. Nofo caught in no mans land again, this time unnecessarily.

We were never winning after Doueihi went off, even with the shithouse game he was having.

The game says more about Parra than us. There's four or five players that walk into our 17 that are either suspended or injured at the moment, we were reduced to 14 with 20 minutes to go and they were at full strength and won by 10. A win is a win, but I'd imagine BA wouldn't be happy that they didn't go on with it and put us to the sword.

Packer should be given the keys to the city for dropping Matterson. He changed his line to run AT him and got up laughing. Best thing about it was that it was totally legal, and still managed to knock him into the next life with two blokes attempting shoulder charges on him. Marvellous stuff.

I should have woken up filthy this morning, but didn't.
Yes, we lost to a team with such affable and gracious characters as Matterson, Brown and Moses wearing their colours.
Yes, we lost to a team with, bafflingly, the most arrogant fan base in the game despite their tasting such little success.
And yet, I can't wipe the smile off my face. I put this down to two reasons:

A. Packer. Matterson. I'll let your lucid recall do the rest.
B. Parramatta ain't winning the comp. There's no way they're beating Penrith, Easts or Melbourne.

When we have BJ, Twal, Mikale and Garner all back in the squad we will be in much better shape. The issues still seem to be strike power and goalkicking. I like AD, and am willing to persist with him for now but I think he might lack the pace to be the attacking fullback we need him to be.

I love Nofa but fk me, there was three occasions we made a break on the right and he wasn't there.

Overall I'm fine with the effort - to be honest I didn't expect much more. We gave it our all but we just don't quite have the pace and class that Parra have. Getting to see Matterson floored by Packer was enough for me
I thought that Nofo had one of his worst games, for a while. He's pretty quick, but persists in running sideways along the line to find a forward who will tackle him. And being out of position in attacck was bad wasn't it.

I thought he showed a lot in a small time. He's bigger than I expected and he hits hard in defence. I think he definitely a keeper.

He is a good hitter, had a massive rap on him for a while now and he apparently has a really great attitude. Nice to Oliver Clarke getting a run, he always looked a future first grader coming through the juniors but yeah Blore will be a good one, he was ready to debut last year before he hurt himself, definite star potential.

Blore looks great

Feel free to take Clarke back

Doueihi surely won't be suspended. That shoulder charge wouldn't have cracked an egg.

I think I'm in the minority, but I don't think there was much in Packers crusher either. Nearly completely missed and really only brushed over the top of his head. He will get suspended because of who be is though.

Those sideways runs are such momentum killers. Would be better off just running straight and getting a quick play the ball.

Packer has redeemed himself in a single blow.

I couldn't stand the guy prior to the last couple of weeks. He has showed he can perform as a top quality prop. I still think we are overpaying him but if he can play like he has he makes a difference to the team.

Smashing Matterson was unreal.

Looking at our forwards (in no particular order), that I would look to keep, we have:
Packer
Aloiai
Mikaele
Musgrove
McIntyre
Garner
leilua
Blore
Twal
Lawrence (can retire when he wants)
Stefano (2021)

We have some talent available for next year.

I have not included hookers, Grant is a must, but apparently N/A, not confident Liddle will make it.

Nofo was caught out of position a couple of times that I could remember where we got a bit of space on the right and he wasn't there to finish.

Also, I'm hoping the Tigers go in hard for Packer, as I felt Gutho got himself into that position, and Packer lifted his arm to let his head slip when he realised what happened. Will probably get 6 weeks because he wears a black, orange and white jersey though.
