In all seriousness, we still have profound backline issues, there are a few factory backs on the market - but as usual, a lot of the uber talent are tied up.
Of course, as an off-set, Harry is worth a couple of factory backs and we may have to wait until he comes back in 2022 for a genuine show.
But the bloody league Gods or the Devil delivers unto us the hardest forward in the game as some kind of compo and everyone thinks Ollie is dead and buried and he bloody lifts.
And Blores first game exceeds all known expectations.
And our second best forward is all but forgotten about in the rush.
It’s some kind of massively complex jigsaw we have.
The only way out of the quagmire for mine, is to redeploy some of our young agile forwards into the backs. He had some good plays, but rowdy shouldn’t be in a backline at the moment and mbye is only useful for a bottom tier opponent.
Opponents won’t like seeing massive backs sliding over to tackle them and players like the Massive powerhouse Frizelle find themselves in space.
For example, the factory stock standard Don is coming off contract etc, tbh I’d rather have him out there than Rowdy ( who is decent bloke imo). I’m sure many will disagree.
Goalkicking is catastrophic at the moment. Madge didn’t manage that well last year. He needs to tinker quick smart.
As a general rule, you’d rather have better forwards than backs, but our imbalance is too great.
We just have to learn a few new tricks and get out of the box. Have a go ffs.
On the up side, I like the way we fight these days. Scoring at the end was high brow. The dogs are barking, but the caravan still rolls f**king on.
