I don’t know Das, I watched it again and think because Guthrie holds his head the ref sees Packer and that’s it.

Watched Ch 9 after game so and Fittler said he wasn’t sure about it as well.
There needs to be a deterrent to milking. Not that it would get as bad as soccer where players go down in a screaming heap like they've got a broken leg when they've barely been touched but milking is not good for the game.

Since a crusher tackle is so dangerous to a players well being, if a player 'does a Gutho', the ref should go to the bunker.
Yes I know most of us only want minimal bunker influence on the game but players would learn not to milk it if they're disadvantaged by a change of possession [Rather than a penalty] if it's deemed the player was milking it.

If a player has intentionally tried to crush an opponents neck then it's a penalty at least [And on report]
No room for that in the game either. It's something that Nate Miles would do. It's a dog act.

Absolutely copped it again in the penalty count, and I swear the ref missed a couple of knock-ons. One from Mahoney led directly to Sivo's.

That one was completely farcical. You can cop the referee missing it if it’s a little bobble in a tackle, but this was a blatant knock on for the world to see, the ball rolled on the ground for 2-3ms before he regathered. It wasn’t even called back, it was just plainly missed. The worst part was there wasn’t a break in play so we couldn’t challenge it.

I'm still waiting for someone to remind the side-linesman that they're actually there for a reason.
When was the last time one raised their flag to signal the ref something he's missed?

Matty certainly was deleted.

I can’t hear you Matt’s, what you saying my boy?

We not be winning a grand final huh?

No good are we?

We will just have to settle for knocking out that lump of radioactive rats entrails that you call a brain.

You stfu and you f**king well mind your manners, or you won’t get up next time.

The turd should be trembling.

The Tigers, if they play competitively, will always be on the wrong side of the penalty count against certain teams, that's just something that has to be accepted and overcome. Brown milking was the worst example last night. He should have been given 10 as soon as he miraculously recovered before the whistle had finished blowing.

With Parra, "They" need bums on seats in that new stadium, all sorts of fringe benefits seem to come from that.

They should set up their own comp if they want their own crowds.

Act of utter bastardry.

We certainly didn’t seem to get many calls our way from the ref, did we.
But imo we lost because some of our players were simply out of position when they were required.
I.e. Doueihi with the Moses try & the bad defensive read on frontrower try, Nofo no where to be seen when Sivo scores his second?
But we will learn (get a decent goal kicking fullback who can run faster than lightning) and we are good to go

In all seriousness, we still have profound backline issues, there are a few factory backs on the market - but as usual, a lot of the uber talent are tied up.

Of course, as an off-set, Harry is worth a couple of factory backs and we may have to wait until he comes back in 2022 for a genuine show.

But the bloody league Gods or the Devil delivers unto us the hardest forward in the game as some kind of compo and everyone thinks Ollie is dead and buried and he bloody lifts.

And Blores first game exceeds all known expectations.

And our second best forward is all but forgotten about in the rush.

It’s some kind of massively complex jigsaw we have.

The only way out of the quagmire for mine, is to redeploy some of our young agile forwards into the backs. He had some good plays, but rowdy shouldn’t be in a backline at the moment and mbye is only useful for a bottom tier opponent.

Opponents won’t like seeing massive backs sliding over to tackle them and players like the Massive powerhouse Frizelle find themselves in space.

For example, the factory stock standard Don is coming off contract etc, tbh I’d rather have him out there than Rowdy ( who is decent bloke imo). I’m sure many will disagree.

Goalkicking is catastrophic at the moment. Madge didn’t manage that well last year. He needs to tinker quick smart.

As a general rule, you’d rather have better forwards than backs, but our imbalance is too great.

We just have to learn a few new tricks and get out of the box. Have a go ffs.

On the up side, I like the way we fight these days. Scoring at the end was high brow. The dogs are barking, but the caravan still rolls f**king on.

Ta mate.

Just heard on the call of the Cows v Manly game on ABC that he was released from hospital last night/early hours of this morning. I'm not a tweeter but apparently he tweeted he was feeling OK.

I daresay the young fella will need a few weeks off after that episode last night...

Yes at least.

Have to do scans and things and then get the specialists to interpret them.

I talk up the tough side of the game, but underneath I understand that any game could be a players last few moments on this earth.

The human body just isn’t designed for this game.

I’d be relieved if there was no long term damage and he could live a normal life, let alone play. Hopefully both, but in that order for mine.
