I think we just lack 3 quality players...a prop/lock that makes big metres and 2 top quality backs.

I thought Madge playing Momo was a good idea because most guys tend to play better against their old teams and he was OK but I expected more. Matterson is proof of what I am saying.

We really do lack strike and we are paying the penalty more and more every week....

Also Perenara is a crap referee. I am not saying he is the reason we lost but that dude hates us I swear.

Farah’s mid tackle count kick in the second half was the game changer. Up to than we had them. Not saying we were going to hold on for another 25 minutes, but we had the momentum and it all went up in smoke.

Also why would you not introduce Liddle at the 30 minute mark when theChooks were blowing for oxygen?? Like Madge as a coach, but his bench rotation seems a bit strange

I noticed that, it was either tackle 3 or 4; no team mate knew he was going to kick & they scored off that set.

Still I think all 17 put in, and you can't ask for more than that.

I'll add that in my opinion a very hard game, the rorters were fairly well rooted at the end of it; WT pushed them all the way.

You can’t pick Liddle off tonight’s game he was very ordinary offered no more than Farah. The one thing I will say is that it’s a one hooker game, you can’t have a hooker off the bench.

He was introduced into the game when all the momentum was with the Chooks and the led by 8.
He needed to be introduced at the 30 minute mark. No point having him on the bench if you are only going to give him 20 minutes at the back end of the game

I said it at the time, if you're going to kick on the 3rd atleast make sure the team knows. Aloiai was the only one who seemed to be aware which created a wayward defensive line and Roosters got a quick roll on. We had them rattled, we should have kept punching holes through them not kick on the 3rd

Some lapses, not enough speed off the line, poor goal kicking, tempered by some good second line defence and being in the hunt for a 3/4 s of the game.

I’m not sure we got the interchange completely right as has been mentioned.

Faded somewhat with 20 to go. A bit of a go, but nowhere near enough.

Something troubling me is our passing game or lack thereof. The brutality is there, but the threat of surprise, a flow, inside outside is somewhat lacking. Not enough offloads or second phase play. We are too predictable.

They were all over ck all night. Brooks had a night out. Thompson played well under big pressure.

Chricton is back in town, huge game. Latrell is starting to look dangerous again.

They are a strong side, we were not disgraced but it was still one of those if only” games. If needed 10% more glam.

The ref missed about a billion offsides, late hits on kickers and so forth. Needs to be more aware.

The basic integrity of the side remains well intact, but simply outclassed in key game areas.

And that's what makes or breaks class players

Thompson is a damn good player but moments like that class players nail 9/10.

Agree we played damn well and I'm not unhappy with the boys efforts, thought the Huth has grown an extra leg these last few games who I've been really impressed with
9/10 that’s a big call...If dry maybe

We were pretty good. Forwards matched the chooks but their class in the backs won out. Blew 1 simple try right on halftime and then with about 6 mins left Marsters dropped a ball when he was through but still about 30m out. We had our chances and blew them, Roosters didn’t .

And his kicking was shit again...This dead wood has to go..That guy that’s been promoted Talau or something he plays centre I think and highest try scorer in the lower grade...I’m right in the middle of stuff now so I can’t check but hopefully he gets a go next week.

I still think any responsible fullback passes in at situation on a soft track....I havnt had a close look at how Jennings ended up concussed and not scoring. But when u are running straight ahead isn’t the ideal angle to sidestep especially if it’s wet especially if you’ve got someone outside you and it’s 2 on 1

Ill assume his pass was crap why he’s getting a hard time...If it was then fair enough...I couldn’t believe they didn’t go over for a try iether but that was not a lot of room to play with and we all know what it’s like to run away from your support and look even more stupid

Nothing wrong with the pass itself only the fact that he threw it. Manu, playing fullback had already committed himself to going for Jennings, he had practically run past Thompson, and CT still passed the ball. It really was poor footy from Thompson. He had an other wise pretty strong game though.

I don’t disagree with that I said before the game in this thread that this wasn’t a game to have a hooker off the bench. In fact there is no NRL game that justifies running a specialist hooker off the bench. Plain dumb!!!! Liddle has played a part in enough NRL games now to play 80, so in my eyes he’s either in or out and same goes for Farah. I think at the moment they’re probably even stevens
