Hodkinson really busted his gut out there today after finally earning a recall. What a fraud.

We will be better next year I'm sure but Brown needs to getting better cohesion going with this squad right now.

Feeney, I'm sorry, I like you and you're at least having a dig, but you're cut.

Wow we need James Maloney bad.

Burn the club to the ground and keep nothing but the location, name and original home strip. Completely start again and base the club around our original values, hard work, determination and a never say die attitude. Our region is based on these values and our club should be too. Put pride and passion back into playing for Newcastle...make teams go home rattled even if they beat us. Honestly start again, the club is rotten to the very core.

9 years after entering the comp we had our first premiership and the best player to ever play the game and even during those 9 or 10 years when we struggled, we were never seen as a joke side. We had true leaders all over the park and that was because of what we stood for. Now we've been a joke of a club for over 10 years and there's literally no real improvement in sight.

After burning this club down forget signing players, just start with Craig Bellamy, Peter Sterling and post Origin 2 Andrew Johns at any cost along with some proven admistrators and bean counters. They will run our club and our club will be ruthless, smart and brutal to the core. The next Joeys and Harragons will come into existence and Michael Hagan types will never be allowed near our leagues club let alone our footy club. Fake made up 8 year old girls crying to the papers won't exist because everyone will be accountable and pull their weight. There will be anti-Manly and Broncos paraphernalia plastered across the walls of the sheds.

Tom Raudonikis will be there to literally sick rabid cattle dogs onto players who act and or play like Darius Boyd and Dane Gagai. Things will be as they should be. Players will drink concrete at half time and love it. Playing for Newcastle will be both the scariest and most honorable thing for any player to do. League will return to the glory days and the mighty Newcastle Knights will carry it there.

I am not kidding about any of this.

This result will lose fans. Fair enough losing big to Melbourne but to tigers?? Out willed by the f**king tigers?! At home?! Give me a break. They have a lot of explaining to do as a team for that one. This doesn't just come down to Brown, he has to explain, but the players have to come out and explain what they came out there with today.

Safiti boys were shut down. Not much penetration from them.
We did get a roll fwd from quick play the balls and Levi running from dummy half but he made too many errors. I reckon he was out there too long.
He needs to come off for a while. Instead we just put anyone into dummy half.
Buhrer is good on the right edge.

Doesn't matter how much passion you have when your team is full of plodders and also your junior base is equally as plod.

For all his faults, Feeney was involved in some good plays out there. He did a Kidley and overplayed.
Maybe with Lamb out there actually doing something (unlike Hodko) there would have been less pressure on Feeney. I reckon he puts pressure on himself and that's why he stuffs up.
No contract for Feeney for next year as yet so maybe it's time to try Cogger.

I'm hoping for a good, involved game from Hokko today. I'd love for him to start to prove us all wrong and put all his poor efforts in the past down to his bung knee, which is apparently all good now.
Well, he absolutely did the opposite of proving us wrong. He cannot be selected for a 1st grade side ever again.

Hodko wasn't even good during his "good" years. How anyone expected or expects anything different to what he provides is beyond me. I've been LOL'ing / crying / pulling my hair out since the very first "He will bring out the best in Mullo".

Put us down for next year's spoon if we don't upgrade our halves.

I'd like to see Pythian get a go.
Big ask to keep him injury free and to adapt but I reckon he is promising.

I do like the look of Phythian. But he can't be Plan A. He could turn out great or he could be nothing. At the moment he doesn't even have a contract for next season.

Four spoons sounds fun. Why not five.
It is what it is. We must go all out for any of three mentioned above. If we miss out than we'll need to go someone from within. Cogger is a goer and Phythian has plenty of upside aswell. If we get some gun forwards with the shitload of money we have it'll go a little way in making up for our lack of quality experienced playmakers.

All I know is that the two blokes out there today are not the solution. But I knew that before today which makes Brown's dropping of Lamb even more mind boggling.
