Watched it late, taped, was very down hearted ar down 12-0 early then we fought back. slowly back in it, DSaf injured but not a loss, Thompson amd JSaf did well and Croker killed them. gamble had a little mixed game but was his best, hard to find a not so good when all were good. Our back five were very good, our halves were good, bit disappointed in Elliott, seems to make some bad choices when to run and pass
. Hetherington ?
, Basicaly 1-7 were good but 8-17 with a couple of exceptions need to lift

Bit harsh on Elliott imo. He’s been improving each week and has been strong the last fortnight.
Tell me what he did that was very good, sure tackled well, made runs but don’t recall a try saving tackle or a bust or pass that created a break/try, was good but I think he can be better

Eeels up against Storm next week. Storm should be out to get their act together which helps us.
Rabbits against Wests. Can Wests win a game and help us out? Unlikely.
We need to beat Canberra first.

Unlike the first two years under AOB we are not just falling over the line before a week one exit. This is a side the teams above them are starting to take seriously as a threat.

Is that a question? Because you kind of answered it yourself. Plus I didn’t say he was very good I said he’s improved, which he has.

I thought Elliott played really well. It's nice having a ball playing forward for once.

Its amazing what happens when AOB is forced to give a guy like Mat Croker more minutes. Now im not saying hes the reason why we won but its now clear the kid adds so much quality to the pack

I think it’s even more significant that O’Brien sent on Croker and not Hetherington- a very clear message from the coach after two recent sin bins that would have proved very costly if not against teams at the bottom of the table.

Croker adds something cert different to the other middles. He should be getting at least 40 minutes a week.

After Leo comes off would be good- has a pass and some footwork to worry tiring defenders. Completely wasted coming in once the match is over.

I’d be fine with Leo and Matt starting every week. Give the Safs to Gus.

Super disappointed with both Safs this season. No impact in tackles, they don't make many post contact metres and they don't even get fast play the balls anymore for some reason. Hopefully Dan has been playing injured all season and can recover his best form next season. I still think we need an NRL level front rower for next season. Jack doesn't seem to be the answer.

Croker is not a typical prop and it wouldn't be wise to start with him. He gets smashed a bit too much. He's best when he can use his footwork and threat with the passing game. There's a spot for him in the 17, but as far as being a set starter and metre eater, he is not that.
