Like you JDHD we dont know and are just guessing and having some banter..however the journos dont create leaks from zip..they may fabricate and stretch a bit and guess too but are fed something to run with.

What we do know is that our Club is run by clowns who are not up to the task. The cleanout we were supposed to have with the WIN buy out needs a bigger broom to finalize the job.

Give it time Poss for heavens sake and not quite what we were talking about in that particular piece, we were talkng about journos leaking stuff but anyway back on your wagon..........the final piece I think with Doust going today...starts tomorrow Nov 1, lets see what happens over the rest of the silly season before kickoff next year. Then we can rant and rave if nothing changes by March 2019..and before you say it you have to June 30 to change your squad for 2019 year

We need to give the new board 12 months to improve the club at all levels

Dugan was asking for a lot of money.
Dugan misses 35% of games due to being extremely injury prone.
Letting Dugan go was one of the best decisions Millward has ever made.

Yeah, nah.

I’m unconvinced that Dugan’s departure was completely monetary related.

You may be right, but value for money...it was a big part. reportedly 700-750K at our club, now let alone another club and a bit more. Dont get me wrong on his day a good defensive and back field running player but not a great player. But in between injuries and slow play the balls cause of perceived injury his good days have dwindled. He wanted fullback money, no one offered him that but Cronulla who basically offered him a tad more than we were paying...to now play him centre or wing. Has how many good games for Cronulla this year..a couple, MOM in any?. SOO, test player..not anymore.
I'd say for once..it was a good move by our club this time not to cave into his management team for more money, especially fullback and even to pay now what he was on. Dont worry I know..there is still some overpaid at our club..value for money, they should be next to go. That has been spoken about by this forum ad nauseum.

One of my mates knows a couple of the Dragons players and he told me that Millward basically told Dugan ‘every f**king week there’s something else with you. You’re either injured or out on the piss and doing stupid shit or lazy at training and if it were up to me, we wouldn’t offer you a contract at all’

If indeed this is correct, this highlights the gap in knowledge that we have. What I have been saying forever is that there is shit going on behind the scenes that we aren't privy to. Was Dugan just a law unto himself while here? Was he not training? Was he on the piss all the time? Is this just pure crap? Who knows other than those involved?

I had heard that there was some resentment from the team towards him and he was on the outer in the last year. But I don't know if that is actually true - purely because we don't see or hear any of that from the club or the media. Dugan comes out on twitter and instagram and says all is good and he's done nothing wrong.

We just don't get the full picture - and I think, at times, we have to assume that decisions are made based on everything that is happening at the club - not just the 20% we see.

For what it's worth, I think we made the right choice with Dugan. As good as he was for us at times, I think his time was up and we needed to move on. And this is based purely on the 20% I see.

Look, I don’t want to out my mate BUT he’s mates with Paul Vaughan and let me tell you, footy players gossip like old women.

I hear you however, every day delayed is a day with work not done. Our squad needs to train together and form combinations together.

When we do sign someone, the next excuse is that they did not have a full off-season with us.
