I'm in QLD tonight so I'm an hour behind. Hence only half way through right now. So far this show is brilliant. I really wasn't expecting too much and so far I'm very very suprised. My only complaint is that Matty and the showseem to be rushing from one thing to the other

Yeah, that was my problem with it. I will put it down to first week nerves, but he didnt look relaxed. Matty actually looked quite emotional when he first walked out on set too.

I also spotted one of our forum members in the audience

I don't think 1 hour is enough , every segment seemed rushed , controversy corner could do with an extra 10 minutes and a couple more old buggers to stir up the pot like the ole rex mossop days .
Not many laughs for me but it's only the first show .

Jason Stevens has done well for himself hasnt he :hg:

Caught the show just as Hindy and Guru came on, and then they ramaged through that parra blokes house  Guru is a funny bloke

As others have mentioned, each segment seemed rushed. Probably getting ques from behind the scenes. It will get better with time. I didnt mind the show at all

I find it funny that they are promoting the games for tomorrow night then the ad break promotes better homes and gardens.

Quite a good show i thought, though they crammed way too many segments in, hopefully they reduce to perhaps one segment between the ads.

To each his/her own of course. But based on everyone's whinges that they want more footy talked about and less light entertainment.... they AFL one is better for that.
It just depends what you are after in a program.... I like both

Fair enough, we can agree to disagree.

I'll have to wait until tomorrow to watch this one. It's on at midinght over here. :(

Thought it was pretty good. The Eels segment was great, and the Panthers mascot bit was piss funny :)

I think the success of this show is important for the game. The more channels that get involved, the better a TV deal we can get for 2013.

i thought it was pretty good.

I thought Steven the man child was pretty funny.

I wonder if he a Joey are on talking terms as he cracked a few gags during and at the end of the show at his expense.

I was wondering the same thing. When Joey went through his 'dark days', I thought Matty really stood by his bro, but when Matty had his dramas, I don't recall Joey saying much. I would have thought that when 9 kicked him off, Joey might go with him, but he just kept on keeping on.

Please don't take the above as agreeing with what Matty did, I think it was totally wrong. But everyone's entitled to forgiveness and a fresh start, and the fact that there were others involved who didn't come forward meant that he took the brunt of it on his own. He actually handled it pretty well, he took responsibility for his actions then got booted for his honesty. :?
