McInnes to Eels

I would also say McInnes is the hooker we need right now. I have not seen a lot of Robson but they say his potential is very high.
I also think with the current situation with DeBelin, McInnes defence and experience is very important to us right now.
With the cap money we may get for Debelin buy Kasiano for $100 000 for depth and top up Robson and the other young players to secure them for next year.

For me it would be Robson. I believe that in the near future he will come into SOO consideration. More than that, he adds so much more to our attack.
Possm
He has not played 1st grade so at this point in time he adds nothing to our attack it is mere speculation on your part.
Does he look promising yes he does but is he better tham Mc Innes that is yet to be seen.
I would keep both and make sure Robson gets plenty of 1st grade this year so we can make an informed decision.

Keeping them both this year, would have been the ideal situation, but we may have been put in a position of making the call on who to keep. Parra were apparently offering Robson an attractive contract.

Spot on Old Timer keep both. We are know in a position to do that. Give him plenty of first grade with McInnes.

I hope that it is only B.S. as we would miss him , they man will only get better and the Dragons need to be the beneficiaries of his skills , not the Eels whom appear to be throwing money at every man and his dog of late .

McInnes is not a great attacking hooker. I think it’s still a weak link for us. But Mary LOVES him. He won’t be going anywhere. As for Robson... he’s done nothing.

I'd say McInnes has a better offer from the Eels. I have a feeling there would have been some discussion with Mary regarding the inclusion of Robson and the idea McInnes might have to spend time each game at lock.

Which 3 Possm should they have kept. I know you have a passion for Herbert..but who are the other 2.
I hope you dont mean Johns and Garrick. If you had watched some ISP games last year and Flegg we have better in there positions coming through. All 3 of them. Have I missed someone you would of liked to of kept.
Your kidding mate aren’t you. Maranta when we had a junior like Johns who averaged over 120 metres as a centre and was their best coming out of our own end. Played origin and got player of the year but we sign Hayden Lomax instead. Your kidding

I am in the minority here I know but I find McInnes only one or two notches above average. He gives away penalties at key times every game, lacks a real kicking game, unless we count his addictive dribble near the line and he does not run enough, especially against strong packs. He tackles and tackles, and he misses very few but he is evaded often as time drags on in games but this is not helped by Mary’s use of him. I would not cry if Parramatta signed him.

Other than the first five atrocious opening minutes, did you note that all momentum was lost as soon as McInnes made several errors?

With JDB gone we are down one quality forward. We can talk up Host and Luc etc all we like but they are not a patch on Jack. With Hunt and Robson we can cover hooker and with the money from selling McInnes pursue a forward who can bring us a little more punch. McInnes will not propel us or the Eels to a premiership.

No not kidding. Maranta is not a replacement for Johns and who I was referring to coming through.
We will see who is right re Lomax V Johns

Are we totally insane - 40 plus tackles a game - hit ups - runs from dummy half and see how he celebrates when we win - totally totally insane ...... he is a great player - just when I thought we were going to have a good season - INSANE

For the good of the team it was a perfect chance today to give Robson decent minutes. McInnes was bog average today yet Robson hardly got a chance to show what he's got.

Runs (as in plural?) from dummy half?

Seriously?

What about the unnecessary forward passes or giving away stupid penalties (as once again demonstrated last night)?

Calling McInnes “a great player” is a bit of a stretch. He’s solid but nothing more. Again, Cook made him look pedestrian which in reality he really is.
