Now that you mention it, an argument quite possibly could be made about Gould being overrated.

I would like to see him coach in the "modern" era, just to see how he goes. Unfortunately, I don't think he would because he is on a good wicket with his current commitments, and probably would not want the stress that goes along with NRL coaching.

Gould wasn't with the club in 2006, Stuart got fired because the team got progressively wrose after Fittler's retirement. It seems you have a little bit of an agenda against Gould?

Gould may not have been "officially" with the club but its well know he was still involved including the recruitment (failed) of Wayne Bennett, and had a falling out with his former student Stuart.

Gould will always be involved with the club in an unofficial manner in the way that Nick often seeks out his opinion and he has a strong affection for the club. It wasn’t until 2008 though that we really started to see him (Gus) around at the club every day, coming down to training etc etc. So his unofficial role after 2005 really was so, so minimal.

He had no part to play in Stuart’s sacking, the decision was made by the board and CEO. Gould was only consulted on looking for the right replacement, Stuart made his own bed by doing a dismal job of rebuilding the side after 2004 and everyone saw the sacking coming. Don’t try and dismiss that by using some sensationalist media blow up of a few arguments Gus & Ricky have had and will continue to have… they’re two of the most passionate stubborn men in the game but they’ll always be great mates. It’s a pretty strong personal attack you’re making on Gould there.

The one game isn't just the measurment, it's also the fact they BEAT MANLY in the finals and in the regular season.

You forget? Well storm won by 10. Unlike when they won by close to 30 against Manly.

So according to BunniesMan's cuz De$ will do even better in 2013 than 2012. After all, he is now going to have an even better roster and a years experience with this crew under his belt.

Now given that they won the Minor Premiership, this means anything less than first place is a failure, unless of course they win the GF. Also, given that they made the GF, the only way to better that is to in fact go one step further and win it.

So, logically, for De$$ie to show improvement, the Biters MUST win the GF. Otherwise (by DoggiesPoo logic), De$ has failed. If he has failed to improve with a better roster and a second year of God like efforts from the coach, then clearly he is over rated.

So, put simply, unless the Dogs win the 2013 GF, Des is over rated per the straw dribblers clutching assessment regime. Will be interesting watching. Will be more interesting to see if the dribbling muppet is prepared to continue to front up here if the Dogs don't do any good.

Once again, I feel sorry for the majority of decent Dogs fans being embarrassed by this dope.
