There were 56 teams just in U/10, U/11 & U/12s. Mod league. 11 a side on the field.

56 x 11 = 616. Divide by 3. Rough average 206 per age group just there. Some teams would have reserves some would play short I imagine but not so short as to only have 40 kids per age group

Havent even counted the 6, 7, 8 & 9s yet

That will be many, many more than 40 kids in each age group.

No, thats why I used to like spreadsheets and check what I say 99% of the time.

League is dying everywhere but the CSDJRL wont be first to go. There were 291 teams in 2017 (6s to A Grade). Very few junior leagues come close in NSW. Alternatively very few get close to those 2 headed, backwater bumpokers from the west where 599 teams were registered.

Depends on the definition of healthy.

Well anyway, I’m no great fan of Pearce, but can see value in him to be honest. He is Flanno style. Premiership winner, SOO player and all that. Would come with a point to prove and probably learn shitloads off Chad.....

To be honest, my main concern is still hooker. Brailey will be streets better next year but I still don’t like having SoggySao as backup.

Centre is thin as well. Wing is thin.

Its like an evolution towards having all “spine” players in a side. An extension of Ando’s 2 props and a halfback crap.

There are already so many potential spine players it is almost unbalanced.
