Well, the next four weeks after the bye we have the Tigers (on fire), the Eels (without Hayne), the Rabbits and Manly. We've lost five straight - good chance we'll be up to nine by the time we play Manly.
yep. pretty good chance of that, i would say.

ok...lets say 280k a year then...break it in the middle somewhere. The question i ask myself is for that money AND experience if i was his employer....would i sack him or those around him?
You'd sack those around him that have shown far less of an ability to have a go ...

lol @ the label "Mullen haters". yeah, there's a few nutjobs around the joint (eg knights girl) that could be described as much, but others are hardly haters.

Put him in the Storm system as a halves partner for Cronk and he would annihilate opposing teams.

No shit. Our attack is dreadful and it's not just Mullen. A lot of our players don't even seem to know what they're supposed to be doing when Mullen has the ball. You watch the best attacking teams and then you watch us and there is just so many differences. Our decoy runners don't fool anyone. It feels as if nobody is ever running onto a pass but rather waiting, THEN hitting the after the ball has been passed and it's just very impotent.

certainly what JD said, but also consider that next year, $200k per year will be the average wage for an NRL footballer. halves are worth more by their nature. the MOST you could say about his pay is that he's getting paid a fraction above average wage.

look at Gidley on $450k!! if that's not money pissed down the toilet in comparison to Mullens wage then i don't know what is.

It's like the players are looking at each other with suspicion. Who has what and why Wayne does or does not want them. The penny shoulld have dropped when Pato was sent packing along with Henry. Pato is probably the most gifted forward we had. His commitment was poor. Maybe Bennett disagrees on his talent and he is a far better judge than I. I am merely trying to show that the party was over and the statement made in no uncertain terms.

They were given a chance to become part of something special. They opted out or are just not good enough to be a top level player. If Bennett cannot improve you as a player and a man u are essentially a loser. Harsh? Maybe but the facts are that Wayne has created champion players and coaches like no other.

I agree with this. Now surely Jarrod with his experience and being the chief playmaker must have a bigger say at training? Is it possible he isnt being listened to or respected?

Why have I never once seen one of these threads after we've had a win, or when we're playing good football?

Are we being fickle Perv? Is that what u mean.
I think those that would say Mullen isn't up to it should have been equally strong in their conviction when he was winning man of the match earlier in the year, is all. back when the rest of his team was still having a dig.

I want to punch something everytime i see Boyds face, there is a reason for this.
there is no doubt that he has one of the top 3 most slappable faces in the NRL. i still havent fully suppressed that urge... but with his form on the rise, i'm getting there.

I vote Blake Ferguson and Cam Smith as having the most punchable faces . They think their s### smells like a pine tree. Cam Smith has never given Buderus his dues.

Fergo is top 3, too. absolutely. has a total arrogent wanker face, just like Darbs. you just have to grin and bear it when they are batting for your team, i suppose.

Ferguson shits me so much. Tahu had a hospital pass thrown his way and Ferguson blind sighted him with a big hit. Of course he then acted like he was a real tough bastard. I so wanted Tahu to get up and belt him...

Tahu probably appreciate the gesture. It's not often he is outdone in the blindside hospital pass big hit department. But Fergy owned him last night.

Boyd is comfortably the leagues most slapable face, Giddley's a close 2nd imo

Fergy would be top 10, he'd be a merkin of a bloke if he didnt play for your side, but we raiders love him.

I've always thought Gidley was best @ fullback & that's when Newcastle looked most dangerous; I think his rubbish in the halve's & he wouldn't have got injured if he was @ fullback.
