haha The Celtics watched him work out today, no joke.

heres the link:

The Celtics are being very open minded when it comes to their roster next season and some team officials spent Tuesday watching a workout by former third overall pick Adam Morrison, who spent the past two seasons winning two NBA titles with the Los Angeles Lakers while on their bench.

Morrison is a free agent and looking for work, and the Celtics are seeking a shooting specialist to bring off the bench. Morrison has proven in his four NBA seasons that he is not talented enough to be a starter, but perhaps he is prepared for a more expanded role than the one he played with the Lakers. Morrison was active for one game during the NBA Finals and never found much playing time with Los Angeles as Phil Jackson opted for Sasha Vujacic as his gunner off the bench.

Morrison has played in just 161 games over four seasons -- missing the entire 2007-08 season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee -- and has averaged 7.5 points and is a career 33 percent 3-point shooter. The workout was apparently a one-man session so the Celtics were unable to gauge Morrison's skills.

Haha, I can't believe anybody would sign Morrison. For a shooter - he can't shoot!! Career 33% shooter from deep, under 40% from the field, doesn't rebound, can't defend, if he's your specialist shooter off the bench, you're in troule.

Picked third overall......MJ.....at least Isiah always nailed the draft.

Exactly

Whoever they bring in wont be "impact" players.

They just need to defend and pass the ball.

That's it.
Two things T-Mac and AI refuse to do!

I feel bad for Morrison... But I shouldn't - he is rich and has two rings

Oh poor old Sash, he's been abused by just about every Laker in his time hasn't he? Wasn't it he that Bynum gave a gobful to about 4 years ago? "Give me the f**king ball" in a summer league / pre-season game?

Even his own teammates don't like him!

Yeah remember that one well. From memory Bynum wanted the ball to be fed to him the post, and Sasha wasn't giving him the entry pass. Drew wasn't thrilled with it.

Most hated team in the NBA - Lakers or Miami? If the two teams met in the Finals, who would fans, of neither team, root for? Quite a conundrum

I remember that...Bynum was in the post getting raped by whoever was guarding him. He was pushed as far as the free throw line and still cried about not getting the ball...

With the reaction on the us boards, most would be going for the Lakers which is just funny lol

And that Ridnour to the Wolves deal has been confirmed. WTF are they doing in Minny? They must be looking to trade Sessions, although Ridnour is just as bad, but older. Makes no sense.

No surprise that the Rockets have matched the Cavs offer sheet for Lowry

CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Cavaliers have apparently been rejected again.

The team's attempt to sign free agent Kyle Lowry was rebuffed Wednesday when Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey said he planned to match Cleveland's offer sheet to the veteran guard. Houston had one week to match Cleveland's package -- a three-year, $24 million deal with a fourth option year -- but Morey wasted no time and kept his promise to hold on to Lowry.

Morey indicated on his Twitter page that Lowry is staying with the Rockets.
"Congratulations to Kyle Lowry on signing his new deal," Morey wrote. "We plan to match the agreement and we are excited he will be returning to the Rockets."
