 Spot on.

No doubt players like AI & T-Mac, and every other vet (like Juwan Howard) are wanting to sign there and play on the team to get a ring before they retire - just like PJ Brown for the Celtics a few years ago. But it's a question of fit and I don't see AI or T-Mac fitting. Of the two, I only see T-Mac getting serious consideration given how close he is with Mike Miller.

Pedantic over the word Fit?

When I said it initially I said "I could see AI going there...I could see them being interested"

Just because I say the word fit once you unleash?

Well done hero. Didn't see you making any predictions.

Let's be honest here...The Heat could sign AI and Tmac and it wouldn't make a difference to their chances of winning titles. They already have to 2 best players in the league and a top 5 big man, the front office could surround them with piles of dog sh*t and it wouldn't make a difference...

Exactly

Whoever they bring in wont be "impact" players.

They just need to defend and pass the ball.

That's it.

Anyone see how much Demarcus Cousins was ballin' in Summer League? Damn...he'll be awesome.

Patty Mills once again looked great. Top scored, didn't get as many assists today, but looked fantastic particularly as he had less minutes than all the starters.

Ingles just can't seem to score...don't know what is doing there.

Jawai didn't get on the court.

Ogilvy had limited minutes.

Sheeesh, precious much?

Predictions? Predictions about what? What washed up, poor-fitting players would be interested in joining the Heat? Well stop the f**king presses, you've deadset delivered the scoop of the year, you and about a thousand other people speculating over something that isn't even close to becoming a reality. Hero...... Have a bex champ.

Anyway, looks like the Nuggets have signed Al Harrington with their full MLE. Good fit for them, can hit the 3 regularly enough to keep defenders honest and they needed another big.

Good signing.

He's better than Haslem anyway.

Is Nene close to being fit for next season?

They'd be more worried about the Birdman, he's set to miss the start of the year. Pretty sure Nene is back for the start of the season.

Alot of moves today, also Raja Bell & Kurt Thomas have flown to LA to meet up with Kobe and discuss them coming to the Lakers.

Both would be perfect fits imo.

Don't know about Bell but.

He'd be a #3.

Because they just signed Blake..
He would fit in well and can come in at the 2 or 3, also a tough defender.

Thomas would be a perfect 4th big man, a veteran that plays the game hard

If they do sign, the rotation would look like:

Fisher/Blake
Kobe/Sasha/Bell
Artest/Bell/Walton/Ebanks
Gasol/Odom/Character
Bynum/Thomas

Seriously though, would be a nice signing . While he's slipped defensively due to age, still has enough left in the tank methinks. Plus he's a great 3 point shooter, and the Lakers could use that.

Cleveland Cavaliers sign guard Kyle Lowry to offer sheet

LAS VEGAS -- The Cavaliers are attempting to make their first player acquisition of the summer. But like everything else during the past month, it is complicated.
According to multiple league sources, the Cavs signed restricted free-agent point guard Kyle Lowry to an offer sheet Tuesday night. His current team, the Houston Rockets, will have seven days to match the deal from when they receive the paperwork, which likely will be today.
The offer is for three years with a fourth-year team option that could make the contract worth up to $24 million. The Cavs are using a portion of their midlevel exception to sign Lowry. The Rockets have said they intend to match reasonable contract offers for Lowry.
It is unclear at this point whether the Cavs loaded the contract with a signing bonus or other incentives that would make it harder for the Rockets to match.
In Lowry, the Cavs likely see a quality defender who can back up Mo Williams or in the future become a starter. As a reserve for the Rockets last season, Lowry averaged 9.1 points and 4.5 assists in 21 minutes a game.
The 24-year-old is just 6-foot but is known for his defensive quickness and strength. Last season the Cavs were often victimized by quicker guards, notably Derrick Rose and Rajon Rondo in the playoffs.
Going after Lowry is another sign that guard Delonte West has played his last game with the Cavs. West's $4.6 million contract is not guaranteed if he's waived before Aug. 3, and the Cavs have been looking to trade him in recent weeks.

I actually don't mind that move by the Cav's.

He's not the best player going around...but he is quick and should at least be able to stay with the nimble point guards.

Bell would be a great pickup and Thomas is nice insurance for the 20 games that Bynum will miss due to injury. Look for the Spurs to make a move on Bell as well, if they haven't already. Would seem an ideal fit there.

  1. Even with Big Z addition and plans to develop Pittman/Varnado, Heat values Joel's shot-blocking. about 7 hours ago

  2. If Heat needs to increase offer to Miller, it could create 1.1 mil in space by pulling Joel's qual offer. about 7 hours ago

  3. Hearing in Vegas teams are pressuring Mike Miller to reconsider deal with Heat. Miller insists Miami deal not done yet.

  4. Now that bigs are in place, Heat sorting thru PG targets in JWill, Keyon and Watson. Arroyo still in mix.

  5. To recap Heat roster: Wade, LeBron, Bosh, Chalmers, Haslem, Miller, Big Z, Juwan (pending).
These were tweets today from miami herald

I like the fact that Thomas would give LA a decent 4th big. Nice upgrade over the taco unit off Powell and Mbenga.

Rockets will probably match that Lowry offer. He is a nice insurance policy for Brooks.
