And how about Rondo beasting it in the assists column.

10 points, 10 rebounds and 24 assists against the Knicks. Obviously his career high
Tied with Stockton for most assists through opening three games in history (with 50), what a beast.

Tony Parker has signed a 4 year $50m extension with the Spurs.

A somewhat risky move, he's probably going to be a shadow of his former self the last two years of that deal (quick point guards with no jumper don't age well), but if he can get back to his 2008 form this year and next, while Duncan is still around, and they can compete for the title then I suppose it's worth it.

Lakers with an easy win over the Warriors, Gasol and Odom dominated the boards easily.

Great news for the Hawks, and to get him for 5 years $60m is a bargain in all honesty. Only concern now is that we've got four players (JJ, Horford, Smith & Marvin) under contract for a combined $49m next year that have arguably reached their potential. For a team that isn't going to pay luxury tax, it's almost certainly going to lead to a trade of either Smith or Marvin, and I know which player has the higher trade value. My hope is that Teague & Jordan Crawford get a lot of burn to continue developing into solid players and we can flip Jamal Crawford for a solid young big at the deadline, Horford and Smith take further steps this year and Marvin starts to justify the number 2 pick. I can only see one of those wishes coming true though (Teague & Jordan developing).

On the Pacers, gotta be impressed with Hibbert's improvement. His play out of the high post has been fantastic, but at 7'2", he's gotta start shooting above 50%.

I never got why people were so down on Hibbert coming out of College. He vs Oden was big stuff at the time and I thought he projected well for his size. Then he stayed on for an extra year and fell to 17... I wanted Speights at the time at 16 because of potential but Hibbert shouldn't have slipped that far. Esp when guys like Joe Alexander went 8th!

Now that the Grizzlies have considerable money invested into Gay and Conley (and you'd think they'd extend Mayo when the time comes), I think it's fair to say that Randolph wont be there next season. Gasol's also a free agent this off-season and I think the Grizzlies would place him higher on their list of priorities.

He improved his numbers considerably last season and will do so again. Last year he was a shade under .500 in field goals, almost doubled his minutes from his rookie year and improved his rebounding. So far this year he's dominating the rebounding for Indy, lead the scoring on opening night and dude is even throwing up in the assists column. He's going to improve big this year and will have the team on his shoulder for most of it.

If Collison can improve and Granger can do his thing things will look good.

Well Hibbert was always going to see a jump in his rebounding with Troy Murphy gone, but it's still nice to see him take advantage of it.

Collison, Granger & Hibbert is a nice core.
