New NRL Logo?

I think this is another subset of the banners for Academies, Origin squads and other things.
It'll look okay if they keep it consistent.

I don't think the SOO logos (aside from the actual origin logo which is great) look great either. For the rare 3 line applications they should make the shield taller. It would make for two different shield sizes but it would mean that the focus of their branding, the double V's, would be consistent which I think is more important.

Never thought much about the new logo until I saw it on a few jerseys. Looks good on its own, looks weak as piss on a jersey. Hate it. The green is not dark enough, the logo is not strong enough to stand out as anything more than an irritation.

Only on jerseys one season. NRL Telstra Premiership logo will feature on jerseys from 2014 - it has a bit more character and colour and won't be as harsh against jersey backgrounds.

Looks pretty legit. I wouldn't be surprised if the NRL tag logo is like that as well.

Yeah apparently it's legit, there's a PDF on the site I must've missed last night and it goes into some detail about using the logo versions. It's a small thing but I can't say I'm a fan of the banner under the shield design tbh, surely they could've fitted 'Masters' in under the NRL lettering and kept it cleaner?

Wonder if it'll be the new standard for Backyard League and Kids 2 Kangaroos, etc.

That NRL Masters logo is genuine. I'm secretary of my WARL club, and I was sent something from the NRL through the WARL a few months ago regarding the Masters tournament, and this is the logo used.

I can only assume that VB wouldn't compromise their logo size which forced the NSW Cup logo to be so ugly.

That NSW cup logo is woeful. Can't see why the couldn't have "NSW cup" on the actual logo with the VB logo on top. Instead they vertically scaled the logo down to add a redundant wordmark.

The background / shield is the same shape as the NSW Cup.

Its amazing what time will do. First time I saw the corporate logo leaked, I was appalled.

Now I really love it. Looks strong, distinctively Aussie. Very cool, thumbs up!
