My disappointment with our club is that we don't stand up for ourselves
I was hoping that we would fight one or two of the charges

I think the risk out weighed the reward, especially when it came to Maguire and Fui. Both had priors. Rava risked 3 weeks out, he needs to do some privatr tackling practice using his arms. Sims also has priors so he risked 2 weeks. Given the crackdown i doubt we would have stood a chance tbh.

Sims back rd 12 v Tigers
Rava back rd 13 v Broncos
Maguire & Fui rd 16 v Warriors

Rd 17 we have a bye.

Come on guys, there are 17 Dragons who will run out on Friday (and onwards) who need our support. We may see even a few of our young stars in action. They need our support.

Yes it's disappointing the whole new crackdown and the way it's effected us, but let's not lose sight of the big picture, as one door closes another door opens.
A lot of people spruiking Ramsey at fullback, well this maybe the time
A lot of people wanting Ford in the team, well he has a better chance than before to show his skill.
And so on and so forth.
Theres also the possibilitt of Sloan, Amone or a real smokie in Coric playing.

They need us.

If we turn up our toes the NRL win, I for one won't let that happen.
Mate I really admire your positivity.
I think of myself as a glass 1/2 full person but you're a glass always full.
I'm looking forward to seeing some of the juniors as well as Ford because I like him but he's been so disappointing when given the opportunity. We may well see a mobile back row with him & Billy which could be exciting, although suspect in defence. The way this has transpired is what really pi55es me off.
Give em strength.

Im done. The NRL can get stuffed.
This has effectively ended our season.
So incredibly frustrating that our team is the one that suffers most whenever they want to make a point.
Screw the NRL, I am finding a new hobby.
Mate, no matter what you may feel right now, our Team are always slow to adapt and have been
We just bend over and take it without lube
.....more like the spiky end of the pineapple.....

This is one reason why coaches should never have any input on how the game is run.

Even in AFL there's such thing as ducking. I'm this close, I'll tell you to switching to that game for some semblance of supportership. V'landys is a closet Roosters fan for sure.

I wonder if it were Tedesco or Tom T, who hit Papenhuysen yesterday, would they have
(a) been sent off, or
(B) given 3 or 4 weeks ban

If its consistant then ok, but I fear the halo above some of these players will effect those decision imo. I can hear certain commentators sating isxwas "purely accidental", "its not his go", "place on report is punishment enough", " he was falling in the tackle, nothing else he could do there" etc, etc.

I will wait and see.

What Dragonslayer has said about this being an opportunity for our younger brigade to show their wares in 1st grade , is about the only bright spot on what has proven to be a dark day for St.George Illawarra .

I cannot recall in all of my years following the Big Red V to be so bitterly disappointed by the manner in which the team has been treated by NRL officialdom and the lack of response by our Dragons powers to be be .

I thought that the joint venture in this particular instance would come out fighting and form some sort of defense against the charges leveled at so many Dragon players in one game .

Damn disappointed ! We have been put through the wringer time and time again and the sad thing is , that we do not appear to have any support at any level of the game - none whatsoever , from the commentators , the media , referees , NRL and that bluudy stinking bunker and what is worst our own board .

Can you imagine how many Dragons would had been facing the judiciary if the likes of Billy Wilson , Kevin Ryan , Brian Poppa Clay etc. etc. were playing yesterday ?

Well no point crying over spilt milk , more so if it’s the entire bottle .

Wonder if Pap head high tackled Ravalawa. I would be shocked if it was even a penalty. As Hook said, if they are happy to play with 11 blokes in origin I’ll be happy with it...

I am a 75 year old female fan of the game. Have followed the Dragons since 1961.
I am now very disappointed in the way the game is being "managed". If it is to stay anything like the game I have enjoyed all those years then accidental head knocks will always happen. Fui's arm hit Papanhuysen's chest first (imho) and then slid up as Papanhuysen was going down.
If they're so worried about law suits from players in the future then have them sign a waiver acknowledging that accidental head knocks will happen from time to time.
I feel the Dragons get treated poorly by the refs and judiciary and worry that this will be more the case if JDB comes back to play with us, more's the pity.
Also we don't get any favours from the commentators.
Just my feelings and it won't be long before I send Foxtel packing.
You make a lot of sense Nanna....maybe you should be on the NRL board.....nah that wont work you sound far to intelligent

And I thought the Dragons were transitioning into a new era of greatness. I thought we were replacing players who were soft and not willing to put the work in with tough skillful and experienced players.

Well for me, they can all go back where they came from, I'd rather the old St George where we stood up with talent rather than the rubbish we dished out last game. Unfortunately most of the new signings are on a two year deal and will take up valuable cap space in 2022.

On the management side, Horan and Millward have to go. Like a cancer, unless you cut the rot out early, it will effect the rest of the body. Webb needs to stand up and find someone who has the experience, knowledge and respect of those running the NRL to head the Football department.

I do look forward to having some of the young guns in the team for the remainder of 2021 but unfortunately they do not have the body shape or experience at this stage of their career to lift the team into the top 5.

Fui, McGuire, Ravalawa and Sims will be a great loss to the team at this stage of the competition. McGuire seems to have not taken his second chance seriously, Fui may of lost his opportunity for an extension and Ravalawa needs to go through some instance training with his defensive technigue.

I suppose we have De Belin, Lomax, Sullivan and Amone to come into the side within the next few weeks. We now need a very clever recruitment officer to sort out the rest of the mess.

It is certainly turning into a mess Possm in fact it is worse than a mess, it is a shambles.

For the love of god, we were the second last game of the round on Sunday. Surely Hook and Co. could have seen what was happening in the previous games with all the sin binning and a couple of send offs and how the refs were policing the new rules before we played. He should have reinforced and reminded the players what these new rules are all about and to NOT do anything that would jeopardise a chance of us winning the game. If in fact our coaches did though, then those players deserve to cop it and not play and in fact when they have finished their suspensions, should all go back to the reserves as a penalty.

Our lack of player strength now means that every game we play from no on until we get our best squad back, will have to be played by the players to the best of their ability that's all we can ask and if they win any games then that would be a positive and this will also help the younger ones to gain more experience in first grade.

I read that the Dragons have been trying to get Moses Mbye from the Tigers as a mid-season signing. This would not please you possm and it would not please me either.

Anyway, we are just the followers of the Dragons and not the recruiters/coaches but for how long?

I have no issues with the new rule & the reasons behind it. The issue I have is the inconsistency in how it is currently applied.

I have been watching the coverage on fox and was hoping there would be some mention of this inconsistency but nada. Apparently Norman's brain health is not as important or maybe he needed to play for the stretcher too.

These same blokes on fox are the ones who spruik the Gallen and Tzyu boxing matches. Not everyone's safety is equal. Can't hurt the NRL stars.

Just wish that V’landys would go back to horse racing and take his cronies from both the NRL and the judiciary with him .

He has made the pace of the game as quick as the Melbourne Cup ( I wonder if the word Melbourne has any significance ? ) , he should be most pleased with his accomplishment .

Goodbye Peter - say hello to Paul and Mary on the way out .
