So Daley has pretty much confirmed Dugan will be in the centres

Who misses out on the other position? Jennings or Morris

Fullback spot is yours for the taking Coote/Moylan/Tedesco

For the entire month of May he will have only played a part game(last weekend). He's well underdone and is welll down on form.
Edit. 23 minutes in the 33 days leading up to origin.

This isn't some untried youngster who is pushing for his debut. Game time or not, Farah is a seasoned veteran and unless someone plays out of their skin on the weekend (like, one of the real competitors like Ennis or Peats, not clowns like Rein!), he will 100% be there.

Mail is Josh Morris won't be selected.

LW - Mansour
LC - Jennings
RC - Dugan
RW - Ferguson

He's not even the best 5/8 at Penrith! But by all means lets give the the Sky Blue No. 6.

I mean if John Candy can turn 4 Jamaican sprinters into an Olympic bobsled team why can't Daley turn Moylan into an instant 5/8?

Some reasoned argument among panic. Get out of the thread!

Do people not think that this is part of the problem?

f**k oaff!

Everyone focuses on the FB & the halves when the same old forwards get their jersey without much surprise...................and get owned by the QLD pack.

Yeah, the select few NSW forwards always seem to play the first game so much better than QLD, with big numbers for the usual hogs. Then in games 2 & 3, the QLD forwards come out as a holistic unit and demolish the NSW pack. Happens every year. Folks in the media will still give their bullshit ratings pointing to stats showing the same 2 or 3 individual NSW forwards out performing any QLD forwards for carries and metres gained, not realising that this the very reason NSW has been losing series after series..................QLD know the same old hogs will demand to cart the ball up twice a set and the maroons know how to make all those metres redundant with their defensive tactics.

I've gotta say, I wouldn't have Farah or Ennis in the team. I'd be inclined to pick someone like Josh Reynolds at hooker. He came into grade as a hooker, has great hands and has Origin experience. We've gotta change things. That wouldn't be my only change.

Daley said:
Rather than blooding a number of rookies for the series opener on June 1, the Blues mentor indicated he would stick with the bulk of the squad that was hammered 52-6 at Suncorp Stadium in Game Three last year.

"I think there's a list of guys that you've got in mind," Daley said.

"But in terms of new faces I don't know whether there'll be too many new faces in this team at all. I like to keep an open mind with a group of players in the back of my mind that I know can do the job if I need them to.

Same old same old

Daley said:
Asked if the Roosters halfback was a chance of retaining his Blues jersey, Daley had this to say: "I haven't even thought of Mitch. I think for me, as I said before, I want Mitch to play the games for the Roosters without putting any pressure on him whatsoever and what will happen after that will happen.

"In terms of whether he'll be selected or not, it's not even on my radar.

"I will make the decision on whether we want to go with Mitchell Pearce, but again, I haven't even thought of Mitch as an option."
Trent it is.

f**k Trent Hodkinson. He's an average halfback at best. Bulldogs certainly haven't missed him. Knights haven't looked any better with him. He's pretty much the worst option available. It's like selecting Hopoate last year. Experience doesn't mean you're any good or going t do better than a guy without it.

Adam Reynolds, Chad Townsend, Aiden Sezer and Jamie Soward are all better than him. Hell even Tyrone Roberts is better than him. if he's our 7 then we can safely say QLD will win 3-0. We don't have Hayne to compensate for halves that create nothing.

lol what a load of waffle. Daley would know who his halfback is by now, and whether that it is Mitch Pearce or not, Pearce has obviously entered his thought process in making that decision

We all know Daley is gonna pick him but he's out if form and not match fit. It's a big concern if you ask me.

Lol

If he was best 5/8 in Penrith surely he would have played at least 1 game in the 6 jersey.
No doubt he will be a rep 5/8 in the near future but let's give the bloke a crack at club level first.

He would do no worse than the other plodders we have but let's not ruin his development by throwing him to the lions.

Ayyeeee genius Soward and Wallace are much better play-makers than Moylan. I have much to learn you you ya f**king gronk.

Moylan fullback

Maloney/Reynolds (Souths one) halves

Jack bird and Cartwright off the bench

Would be the key talking points, someone post the full team

Maloney - would like to see him take some ownership, he is in good form
Reynolds - not the year I would have picked him considering form and injuries. But he is safe and predictable, they can build a gameplay around his strengths and he will deliver it
Cartwright - was dynamic in city would like to see him take that level of confidence into Origin
Moylan - gives us a real playmaker in the spine
Bird - big fan, offers a real wildcard and a better utility than other options out there

He had 2 brackets on the bench: Jack Bird/Tyrone Peachey and Tyson Frizell/Bryce Cartwright.

Definitely interesting days ahead

That sounds like a pretty good side.

Despite all the doom and gloom around here it wouldn't surprise me one bit if NSW win this year. Two games at home is a massive bonus and always hard to overcome for any side.

There's no way that team takes the field. Daley has said he will stick with the bulk of last years squad. 4+ debuants is a pretty big change.
