From PI... could explain why they were selling Panthers jerseys for $50 at Rebel Sport...

Sep 13 - The Panthers will be carrying a healthy message on their backs from next season. Penrith chemist and weight loss expert Tony Ferguson has signed a deal that will see his ‘Tony Ferguson Weightloss Program’ emblazoned on the lower back of the NRL jersey.
“Tony’s program has helped thousands of people lose weight and live better, healthier lifestyles over the last few years,” Panthers Business Development Manager Shannon Donato said today.
“So there are obvious synergies between his business and our organisation – both of which promote healthy lifestyles.”
It is a three year deal.
Tony is a long-term supporter of the Panthers. He is one of the club’s longest serving sponsors and a Life Member.
“People need to learn about healthy nutrition and our program is 90 per cent education and 10 per cent product,” Tony said today.

‘It’s a good deal for us because our message will be seen on the back of an NRL jersey – and hopefully that will get it across to both parents and their children.”

Tony’s program is now available right across Australia and in New Zealand. On November 1 he will be launching it in South Carolina and North Carolina, home of the Carolina Panthers.

Yeah, even on a black background that butterfly would still look girly wouldn't it ?

Butterflies don't really suit the macho footy image do they?

I reckon we should get Miss Moffat from Slilence of the Lambs, and when players don't perform, throw them into a bit pit with multiple Megs for a few days for an attitude adjustment. "Clarice....Is Pritchard still crying Clarice?"

Deadset Fibro after you drunken performance during our telephone conversation the other evening, your failure to buy me lunch as promised at the Winmalee Tavern on Wednesday and this above tripe I am having serious doubts about driving you to Campbelltown Stadium on Sunday. I think I need to drive you to St John of God out Windsor way on Saturday and take my family to the footy free of your personal issues on Sunday. Please convince me otherwise but I have my doubts.

True story. I bumped into Tony Ferguson at Red Rooster High Street a couple of weeks ago. He ordered a coleslaw.

I ordered a half a chicken with extra large chips.

I sat and ate the lot:crazy: including every greasy piece of skin right in front of him. He didn't bat an eyelid. I went on the tell him how I take a cocktail of prescription sedatives and drink in the vicinity of 20 litres of cask wine a week,

he replied " You sound like your getting on top of things there buddy. Go the Panthers!"

What a great bloke! It's good to have him on board.

Tony Ferguson would have ordered a garden salad. Coleslaw is not allowed on the shake diet he promotes. Plenty of greens and veges are allowed.

I can vouch for the Tony Ferguson diet. Did it for three and a half months. No grog. No smokes. Plenty of exercise, plenty of salads and greens and veges. Lost 20 Kg. Felt great.

Sadly, the minute I went off the diet, returned to my former bad habits. Back to my former fighting weight accompanied by too much red wine and too many winnie reds.

I intend to get back on the shake diet. There will be a new Kilkenny come the start of season 2008.

You are the ultimate hypocrite.

I remember the days when we used to work together.

You used to occasionally get Red Rooster for lunch and remove the skin, the best part and leave the chips, the second best part.

Really health conscious you were. How does that reconcile with the 20 schooners you had after work every single afternoon seven days a week. I never could work that one out.

I almost hope Labour win the federal election so we don't get the extra $5 million to redevelop your beloved southern end of CUA stadium. You are gonna be spending all homes games there next season because you aint gonna be enjoying the hospitality of Kilkenny's season tickets.
