Girds would probably be tried at full back in today's game.

That said size wise I don't think he was much smaller than Momo who didn't struggle in defence.

Also I'd have Puletua > Kikau > Pritchard in ranking rampaging back rowers.

Puletua was the prototype of the modern backorder and had an insanely long career across the NRl and Super League.

While I've given Kikau flack for fading in and out of games I feel Pritchard was far worse at it and could be invisible at times. We also only made the finals once in a year he played over 12 games (2010 and he left afterwards). I also don't see Frank getting off the ground to make a game saving tackle on the other side of the field like Kiks vs Melbourne.

Puletua was certainly the most consistent of the 3.
Although if Kiks is part of a side that goes back to back. That changes things

Recency bias is always a big factor. You tend to forget with the passage of time particularly when making comparisons.

Puletua, Pritchard, Kikau is an interesting comparison. I don’t think Kikau has ever reached the heights of the other two, should have but hasn’t quite got there. All great players I think Tony P shades the other two overall.

Girdler is an interesting one because the game has evolved so much. The modern day centres are just so much bigger physically. Different game.
If Pritchard could have played the Tigers every week he would be an Immortal.

Tough to separate them overall. I'd have to agree with you that big T edges the other 2 out though.

After the sad news of Royce Simmons having dementia he may have shot up the list.former player coach and employee of the club in many roles since retiring
A worthy contender for sure. Our first Origin and Australian team representative. Should have also been our first CCM winner.

It’ll happen. It just takes a long time for architecture companies to formulate an idea of what their plan for a new stadium is. Every square inch, the look. We’re talking about a 300 million dollar project here. Rushing it would be worse for everyone.

Minister Ayres hinted it may be similar to Cowboys Stadium, multi purpose, open end for concerts etc. Anyway, whatever.

If the not going to do a all seated stadium is there really any point in building a newer version of what we already have

Making stadium seating closer to the action whilst retaining some quaintness with a family or piss hill side would be my preference

My personal opinion would be fore the stadium to be more disability friendly.

The grandstands to have lifts, collapseable hand rails to assist those with mobility issues climbing the stairs to their seats.

The toilet facilities to include suitable changing areas for babies, maybe even a couple of feeding rooms with TV's in these feeding rooms showing the game.

The current stadium is just plain hard work for anyone with mobility issues. I'm at the stage of my life where I can't attend games unless my adult children are with me to assist.

I also hate the idea of the flip up seats. I think though I might to yelling at the sky about this

Agreed. Modern standards should be able to assist the less abled appropriately

I'm hopeful for this as well. The only decent wheelchair seating is 3 spots at the entry to the chairmans club. There is also another few spots at the other end of the western stand at the end of the media boxes, but the view isnt great. Apart from that its pretty much at ground level on the try lines. A few options closer to the middle would be nice. A similar setup to the showground at Homebush would be great and not really impact the available seating for the majority.

Just over 400 matches combined as player and coach. Held the record for most matches as coach until Ivan overtook him during the finals last year.
