Pretty funny an English fan can see what we’ve been saying all along

with the next nrl tv deal coinciding with the next union World Cup I expect 2028 to be a really bad year for union in terms of player drain to the nrl

esp with another nrl team added

absolutely, the overall tecnicalities and percentages on a union pitch stifles the attacking flair of backs compared to league.

BAHAHAHA there are next to no "tecnicalities" (I'm assuming you mean technicalities) different between Rugby and League back play. The difference is purely skill.

All of them mate but this one in particular caught my eye seen as though it looked like the warriors drew a bigger crowd.

Of course the Warriors looked like they drew a bigger crowd. They blocked off over half the stadium so their crowd would look good in TV. Where is the Hurricanes crowd, which was bigger by the way, was allowed to sit anywhere to get out of the 100-150K winds that night. Watch it again and you will see more people at the tops rows of the stadium. Who would have thought it, a foreigner getting something wrong about something in NZ in a thread about NZ... simply par for the course.

technicalities in that percentage rugby and field position resulting in more kicking and set forward plays take precedence limiting the running opportunities for the backs.

Which is total bullshit but carry on. Good backs show out and average ones don't. RTS struggles have nothing at all to do with anything you suggested there.

You're the one who thinks "like the warriors drew a bigger crowd" based purely on a "Youtube Highlights" clip. If you did some actual research I'm sure you would be able to find it, it's not too hard.

Reading your comments I don't think you've ever seen a game of rugby. TBF, that seems true of most posters on here, or they stopped watching rugby back in the early 60s, the same era where league had unlimited tackles.

The NRL does not get the "top union schoolboy talent", it gets league kids who also play rugby, and a few odds and ends. It can't even get the top league talent all the time, Nanai-Seturo was set to be the next big thing in NZ league and he chose being a bit part player at the Chiefs instead.
NRL clubs sign many highly rated 1st 15 schoolboy talent.
For some context, Tohu Harris has been one of the best NZ league players for a decade now. He is playing league because he wasn't a offered a spot in the Hawkes Bay rugby academy - a smaller NPC province.
maybe his talents are more suited to league? Maybe he was a late developer? Maybe NZR clubs can’t sign everyone?
If you know a struggling product when you see one then obviously you'd be fully aware that league is struggling in NZ. No matter how badly Super Rugby is doing it is worth way more to Sky than the NRL is ... as has been pointed out many times in this thread, even the Warriors don't out-rate the large majority of Super matches.
yes RL is a struggling sport in NZ and can rightly be described as a niche sport in various parts of the country which makes the large number of kiwi born players in the NRL system even more remarkable and shows that there is more room for expansion.

As for the warriors not out rating super rugby clubs again they(warriors) have been dog turd for a decade or so.

I wonder why union brought in all the new rule changes?

so at least you agree with me that backs in league have more running opportunities and chances to show their flare compared to union backs?

I also think that RTS needs more time to adjust to all the very structures I mentioned after playing RL for nearly a decade.

why won’t you give me the official attendance mate?

what’s the big secret?

Yet more bullshit from you. I said no such thing. You clearly have no idea what you are talking about which is hardly surprising. And RTS played Rugby for years before switching codes, and he has had two and a half years to "adjust" back. It's clear he is just not good enough, it's why he will go back to the NRL next year.

Because you made the erroneous claim, I'm not going to do your "research" for you. I'll make it easy for you. It was announced during the game, was on the big screen and in the coverage. You will just have to watch it to find out.

What "new rule changes" if you actually knew what you were talking about, you would know there haven't been any new changes, since they don't make changes between world cups. What is happening is there are different trials in different comps to reduce time wasting which is a blight on many sports.

Because it was a quick way to show up your bullshit. Done that already, now you do some work.

can’t have be all that better than the out of town warriors fixture then if you are refusing to do my research for me like you did for the 25k blues v crusaders fixture.
