What’s north Sydney got to do with it

you couldn’t work out I meant ch plus other games in other places In the south island

lmao
Yeh that’s what you meant, because you know Christchurch isn’t in the South Island lol

multi venues works so well for tigers, why wouldn’t you Replicate it elsewhere?

Yes playing one or two games away from ch makes them like the tigers what an excellent argument

South Island orcas

Christchurch/South Island isn’t getting Wellington’s ‘Orcas’ brand. Canterbury is ‘Bulls’ but something different might be better if they want to be a South Island team.

The Broncos also averaged over 40k in the early 90s so his argument is crap, as usual.

Broncos averaged more than 40k in 1993. It was the year after their maiden premiership and their first at QEII Stadium.

2023 was the Broncos' sixth best season for attendances. Not bad considering the team had to play a few games at the Gabba.

You don't have an argument.

so..... clearly the Broncos higher attendance this year wasn't because of the Dolphins you muppet. Might have something to do with them coming 2nd on the ladder?

People on here said the Dolphins will cannibalise the Broncos and Titans.

Broncos and Titans drew bigger crowds in 2023 than the previous year. Dolphins added another 30k members and averaged 25k to their games. The naysayers were wrong. Deal with it.

Your spot on

dophins played a big part in rise of broncos and titans crowds

there was such a huge excitement for our game in Brisbane due to the phins

that derby game was something else in terms of hype

The naysayers who claimed the Dolphins would fail are now saying Brisbane 2 was always going to be a success. They won't admit to being wrong.

Dolphins have been the best thing for rugby league in Brisbane since the Broncos entered the NSWRL in 1988.

And they aren’t even close to their potential

imo they can beat the broncos for crowds and members eventually

people are full of crap

easts tigers could be admitted and they would easily be as big as the dolphins

it’s about giving the dolphins time to grow but brisbane can handle 3 clubs easily

yeah but no one actually said that, except maybe some people who work within those clubs.

ah this BS again, Do you think if you say it enough people will actually believe you? No one said Dolphins would fail, they questioned if they were best choice as a genuine Brisbane2 side. They werent clearly. Not very game at Suncorp, having no relevance to a big part of Brisbane, calls for Brisbane3 to fill the gap they created already.

Dolphins will own Moreton Bay and the northern suburbs of Brisbane. They could extend their catchment into the bayside suburbs of Brisbane. The next ten years will be great.

You and a few others said they would fail due to their location and history. Now you're pretending you never said it.

There was always going to be demand for a third Brisbane club because it's a rugby league mad city. You don't want a third Brisbane club because you know it has a more compelling case than Perth.

dolphins isn’t expansion as we already have a team there

I remember that. He also said Brisbane 2 needed to be based in the inner suburbs. He predicted terrible crowds and mocked its recruitment. Despite not landing a marquee player and playing a few matches at Dolphin Oval and Sunshine Coast Stadium, the Dolphins drew almost twice as many fans to their home games than the Western Reds in 1995.

which are both true lol. Brisbane2 is consolidation of an already strong RL market, as would be the not needed Brisbane3. Its not expansion into a new market.
