It was established in the GEMBA Report on expansion that the smallest clubs ran on an operating budget of $24m at the time of publication. The annual grant is about $17m now, but was about 13m back then. Maths and facts aren't his strong point.

thats not in question, the question is should the NRL spend another valuable and ltd license adding to an already serviced pond. Nearly any LC pokie den can in reality sustain an NRL club, doesnt mean every pokie club should get one.

You basically only need 15k crowd avg, 20k members and a reasonable sponsorship portfolio to be profitable in NRL these days.
