Why are we using Western Australia ( area the size of Europe) as your " catchment " area anyway? That's ridiculous. Karratha, Port Headland, Broome, Kalgoorlie, Esperance, Albany, Geraldton... your not scouting or developing those areas if you get a side, the logistics and resources are too great for too little. If Perth are producing kids fine , if you're going to develop kids further out they'll need scholarship schools and relocate them to a Perth comp and development system.
If Perth has a good amount of juniors and a good comp like Townsville, Cronulla or Penrith ect .. that's awesome and please share those numbers but a random collection of mining towns running teams to bolster community engagement there isn't anything to brag about...and surprise surprise they aren't becoming NRL players lol.

I want a Perth team mate, I really do but every time to use bs data a cherry pick, it does not bolster the argument for Perth! It does the opposite.
Not sure if you know WA very well but hardly anyone lives outside perth despite the land mass size!

it’s relevant to talk about all WA as that will be the catchment area for a perth nrl club, same as catchment areas for existing nrl clubs.

for regional kids we do have a RL shs scholarship program in perth so that is def possible.

out of the 3500+ jnrs in WA, 3000+ of them are in perth. The next biggest area is the sw region which is 1-3 hour drive south of perth. After that there are very very few jnrs in more regional WA. Club in Albany, couple up in far far north and that’s about it.

Got you knowhere, sitting on your hands now too, funny thing is you think that you need to spend that time effort and money just to prove to the nrl your worthy, (as we al do) but as proven as soon as the titans got the green light, you all shit the bed and dropped the act, instead of keeping those programs going to make your juniors atleast close to competition standards, so yeah if you did start up your programs yourselves all over again, as soon as your miss acquiring a licence you'd stop again, shows your bid isn't committed to RL overall, just leeching out for a slice of the NRL
Now wtf you on about? Cumins funded the sg ball set up until 2019.
it made no difference to the way nrl viewed perth, he was wasting his money developing players for east coast comps. f**k that.

Only a whiny bitch with an agenda would dismiss a source because it doesn't provide the answer they want to hear.
haha wiki is wrong, you’re wrong, you’re an idiot.

wa has many people, and live here as kids, many from east coast, north of England and nz.
it’s only natural some of them would play rl. Doesn’t stop them being wa jnrs. theyve played for a wa club and come through the ages till they get picked up into a system. They’re wa jnrs.

Dude, you're bragging about 20 players over 70 years.
Put your money where you mouth is you dumb f**k. You made claims that you cannot verify. That makes you an idiot according to the strict protocols you've set for others.

How did that mangled brain of yours calculate 20 players over 70 years?

The actual number was 109 players from Cairns, Mackay and Townsville versus 10 from Western Australia, you dumbarse.

You also used central funding as an excuse.

Not much was spent on junior development in the 20rh century. The game was semi-professional until the mid 90s.

There's nothing stopping Cumins and the rest of the WA RL community from investing in the local teams and competitions. It's what the Queensland RL community below NRL have done since 1909. Stop expecting St Vinnies to hand you gold necklaces and diamonds.

He has, significantly. As have other sponsors at club level. It still doesn’t equate to pokie dens spending millions or nrl giving state bodies tens of milllions Or having an nrl club spending and having direct pathways.
RL isnt lucky enough to have a billionaire like forest or rhinehart willing to chuck stupid money at grassroots sport just for fun.

There was 34 players in Cairns, and you want to put a team in Cairns. Hence the comparison is between them and Perth.

If you want to bring Townsville in, that's even worse considering they've had a team for over 30 years.

Anyway, have you realised yet why your links are irrelevant? Here I'll give you a hint. Was Sterling developed in Toowoomba? Nobody would argue that right? And yet he's on this list.

Have you worked out why yet?

24 players from WA. It’s hardly like any region he has quoted has massively outperformed WA on just numbers lol

Most of those are irrelevant. If someone was born in Brisbane, moved to Perth when they turned 2, played in Perth until they were 16, then moved to Sydney and signed with an NRL team, Donkey's argument is they are an NRL player because they were born in Brisbane.

I don't want to put a team in Cairns you dickhead. I've said on numerous occasions that the only way PNG can work is if it's based in Port Moresby and funded by the Aus and PNG Gov.

Sterling was born in Toowoomba but developed in NSW.

If you're going to take Sterling out of the list then you'll have to do the same with Shane Wright. He was developed in rural Queensland.

I've never used this strawman argument. Try again, Maxipad.

Your friend has argued that Kalyn Ponga is a Western Australian because he was born there, FWIW.

* nrlwa jnrs debuting in nrl and nrlw with WA born Kalyn Ponga winning men’s dally m and nrlwa jnr Destiny Brill getting dally m hooked of the year with nrlwa jnr Shanice Parker picking up a premiers medal with the Knights

No club in Queensland had access to pokies before 1991. Didn't stop Queensland producing more players in one year tham Western Australia has over 70 years.

Neither Shane wright Kalyan Ponga or Sam Mckendry were wa jnrs, they just were born in WA.
I’ve given you the list of 24 players who are WA jnrs.
adam Quinlan also gets an honourable mention as a member of our sg ball side

Townsville Brothers has produced 12 players who've played in the NRL.

  • Sam Thaiday
  • Michael Morgan
  • Jason Taumalolo
  • Justin O'Neill
  • Aidan Guerra
  • Anthony Mitchell
  • Coen Hess
  • Chris Grevsmuhl
  • Zac Santo
  • Rhyse Martin
  • Tom Humble
  • Gehamat Shibasaki

One club from Townsville has developed half as many players over the last 30 years as the entire state of Western Australia over the last 70 years.

No one has argued ponga is a wa jnr, stop bullshitting
I never argued Sterling is a Queensland junior. Your catty friend made that bit up.

You did say this:

* nrlwa jnrs debuting in nrl and nrlw with WA born Kalyn Ponga winning men’s dally m and nrlwa jnr Destiny Brill getting dally m hooked of the year with nrlwa jnr Shanice Parker picking up a premiers medal with the Knights
