New Zealand 2 will deal a massive blow to NZ rugby

Worse stadiums than Canberra:
Brookvale
Leichardt
Shark Park
St George
Wollongong
Campbelltown
Belmore

There's many plans and discussions about locations for new stadium in Canberra that are currently being considered with articles in the Canberra times WEEKLY..
there is zero need for PVD to be addressing this stadium issue, not only because IT IS ALREADY BEING ADDRESSED! but there's much worse stadiums that aren't getting WEEKLY articles that are far worse then Canberra stadiums ( Bruce)

My god you speak shit!
It's hard to take Dane seriously when he says Bruce Stadium is the worst in the country. If that were true then Perth Red wouldn't focus so much energy on ridiculing Brookvale and Leichhardt.

To quote The Great Dane, "Canberra is far and away the market with the worst stadium AND NO ALTERNATE." [my emphasis]

Sydney already has two stadiums that are far-and-away better than Canberra's stadium (SFS, Parra), and one that's flawed, yet still more modern than Canberra's (Olympic stadium).

Canberra has NO ALTERNATIVE STADIUM.

Why don't you blame the ACT Gov?

It's up to them to build a stadium for their professional sports teams.

And they do.. what in bloody hell are you talking about?
Such a strange position to hold in a year where we opened the season in Vegas... yeah, they never do anything outside of the Sydney market... my god.

Show me where V’landys has mentioned anywhere other than “suburban stadiums” recently. It’s just one example, yes other positive stuff is happening doesn’t mean people can’t point out negative things, no need to be so dramatic about it.

Canberra - Needs a new stadium. No it isn’t being sorted whatsoever, just more lip service from Barr.
Auckland - Could use an extra 5-10k seats until they make up their mind on a new stadium. Plenty of room around Mt Smart.
Newcastle - ould use an end stand or 2.
Wollongong - a new stand or 2 or 3, get capacity above 20k again.
Brisbane - Suncorp wasn’t getting any funding as per original Olympics plan.

Plenty to work on outside of Sydney’s suburbs. Should be pushing all of the above as well.

There's only so many hours in the day mate.. they've just organised an opening to the season on the other side of the planet after adding an entirely new team in Brisbane. They're currently doing their due diligence on where to add a new franchise to be announced at seasons end..

You're right They're not doing enough... just more than any other administration in the history of the sport..

And that’s just some of the stuff we know they are doing.

In 2008 we had 100 years of Rugby league and a test match between Australia and NZ was on that I went to. They held it at the SCG for nostalgic reasons.. I'll never attend a game of Rugby League again at a f**king oval! Couldn't see squat! Waste of money!
I can't blame anyone for being apprehensive towards any kind of expansion where the ground is oval...
I’ve been to a Warriors game at SCG and it’s awful. Also been to plenty of Warriors, Kiwis and Union games at Sky stadium and it’s fine to watch footy at.
It circular shape is massively overstated in terms of a negative viewing experience, the stands are raised quite a bit from the ground and the football field only just fits in the circle- there’s barely any ‘dead space’. the design also means most of the stairwells are in the ‘corners’ so you are mostly either parallel to the field or behind the posts as you would be a rectangular field.
Yes a full rectangular field would have been better but there’s too many that hear ‘oval’ and make assumptions without actually going there. I used to attend games most weekends and never had a complaint

Have you been to many good rectangular stadiums? I have and that's the minimum for me. Has to at least be rectangular...

Yes I’ve been to pretty much all of the NRL stadiums in Aus (Bar NQ) and most of the Stadiums in NZ. Sky stadium is fine for footy, sure rectangular would be better but any current gripes are overstated. Location wise it’s great for one

You're seriously saying they can only do 1 thing at a time, and then praising them for only doing one thing at a time? And you call other people union trolls?

Another one that sticks out to me is any time recently when asked about stadiums V’landys says something along the lines of “we’re focusing on suburban stadiums, we’re built on tribalism, those stadiums are the heart and soul of those suburbs” etc.

Completely ignores over half the teams in the comp with those statements.
Poor dears playing in modern all seater stadiums pvl didn’t say something nice about them lmao

I think I've mentioned already in this thread the Caketin isn't as bad as made out on this thread, especially as it's small. The worst seat at the Caketin is a better viewing experience than 90% of the seats at Homebush.

To be fair those teams you mentioned that are not in suburban sydney already have pretty good stadia, maybe just canberra being the exception, and probably warriors need to figure themselves out, otherwise the rest are in older suburban Sydney

You have an annoying habit of assigning a false position to the people you address, then proceed to belittle them.

You remind me of Helen Lovejoy.
