Why would Oakland want to do that? AB is 31... he's f**king great... really f**king great
He almost may have lost his damn mind... but assuming he hasnt... he's great

But he's 31 in July... does ANYONE think he's an elite game changer at 33? 34? 35?
The Raiders probably arent contending in the next 3 years, and by then he's cooked

That would be f**king wild IMO. AB needs to go to a team who can win now, chew him up, eat up his bullshit, grin and bear it, win a ring and send him off. Not a rebuilding team. He's too old to spend capitol on for a rebuild

A few reasons I think...

We really need a #1. He would be that.

Yeah he’s gonna be 31... but he’s never been the quickest or most athletic WR in the game.

His game has always been predicated on unbelievable route running and amazing hands.

He’s the type of guy who will age well...

Gruden will see it similar to what he did with Jerry Rice in his first go around.

Obviously he didn’t spend a 1st on Rice but AB is probably the closest anyone has come to Rice since he retired.

As I said... if we give up the Cowboys 1st I would be happy as it’s basically Coop for AB...

Even with Coops age... considering the shit show last off-season with Gruden and Mack’s agent who’s also Coops agent I think it’s better to just cut bait and move on.

Personality wise Gruden is probably one of the guys who can actually handle AB.

The biggest issue i have is probably one of the big reasons the Raiders want him... Splash... they want to make a splash in the next 2-3 seasons when they move to Vegas...

This motherf**ker has lost his mind in Pittsburgh... moving him to Vegas is dodgy as f**k...

I wouldnt do that man... i really wouldnt
Trade those f**king picks for something in 2021, stink and stink some more, amass as much draft stock as you can... this draft and next, the first year in LV might be tough, but in year 2 when you're rolling out a draft class of lawrence and ross, you can kick the damn feet up haha

I dont think anyone should give up much for AB at this point of things. I really dont.

I agree with you... TBH I would have rather we paid Mack and Coop.. 2 great young locker room guys.

But Gruden obviously had other ideas...

Ultimately I think chucky has belief in his offensive system and thinks if he loads up on defence in this loaded defensive draft he can work out the offensive side with free agency and bits and pieces.

I’m not so sure... but this only the 2nd time Carr has had the same offensive coordinator and system as year before.

The first time was when he ended up an MVP candidate.

We will live and die by Carr I think... which is why Gruden wants AB.

I’d tank until Vegas. I struggle to see them winning the division next year with or without AB. It’s not like AB got the Steelers over the line.

Imagine being the Franchise who pays Eli Manning 17 million but won’t even try to resign Landon Collins.

So the latest is the Raiders offered a 3rd which was declined... now they are close to a deal revolving around a 2nd...

Not sure on the source though... it was a rumour by a Steelers guy who I’m not familiar with.

Haven't seen that one anywhere I'd put faith in.

Rapaport has been taking a lot of swings with this trade deal, generally his Steelers gossip is not very reliable.

Sounds like the Raiders have cooled on AB.

Steelers insisting on a 1st and the Raiders not willing to go higher than a 2nd.

I think the problem for the Steelers is AB is insisting he wants to redo his deal... so you would give up a 1st and then have to upgrade his contract with guaranteed money. It’s pretty hefty price.

if he was happy to stay on his current deal then if I’m the Packers I’d trade one of my 1st's for him...

Steelers extended Pouncey, re-signed Foster, picked up options on BJ Finney and Matt Feiler. Best OL group in the league back for another year, good place to be. It was thought Munchak might try and sign one or two.
