Gee he's having a whinge on Foxsports this morning saying he has been let down by Cricket Australia which sort of indicates he was tapped on the shoulder as he will not be reapplying for the new position.

Its his choice if he doesn't want to reapply, not sure why he's blaming CA.

Big yes on Steve Waugh.

We need a strong character with attention to detail who is highly disciplined in all areas to lead us out of where we are not to mention there aren't many more respected than Waugh. I'm not sure he is interested though. If the job goes to Rixon I'd love to see Tugger on the selection panel.

Love to see Mark Waugh in the coaching set up in some capacity. We need more people who accept nothing less than 110% within the Australian camp.

I'd love to see them hire Trevor Bayliss, he did wonderful things with the Sri Lankan side. Rixon would also be an excellent appointment. I'm not sure on Micky Arthur but shit, he'd be an improvement on Nielsen so why the hell not!

Agreed on Arthur. We have some good candidates and if the man comes from Bayliss, Rixon or even Moody we are doing alright.

If they wanted to go left field and random then even Mott is a step up from Nielsen

Tugga has already been quoted as saying he doesn't want a coaching job.

I do think he would be a no nonsense selector, as would Junior. Its not a full time job, AB was doing commentary when he was a selector so Junior could still do his cushy commentary job, same with Tugga.

Thats the bit that shits me the most. Some of these ex players bitch and moan about team selections and problems players have, but none of them want to come forward and do anything productive to help when they are in a golden position to do so.

Shits me to no end.
