"Not held"?

It should have been a penalty either way.

But its sort of similar to the Taylor try vs the Titans earlier in the year, when he raced away, got tackled the Titans players slid straight off, Taylor, got up looked around and ran around to score. Referee didn't call it held then either but some claimed he had a hand laid on him.

It shouldn't have been a penalty either way, held wasn't called.

It's also like Matai's try last week. Someone got him high, the defence stopped, whistle hadn't gone, he went on to score. Fair try. Perhaps the ref should've blown for held, but he didn't. Should have been easy to wrap the ball up until held was called.

We weren't dudded.

The only part that really pissed me off was the fact it was Sam Rapira who was the first to peel off, and then turn his back completely. Obviously inexperienced players like Johnson are going to follow his lead.
Idiotic play which cost us a good chance at a home semi - I hope Cleary tore the hell out of Rapira for that mistake.

Nice win though Dragons - your "soft" forwards completely owned our "in form" ones. There was zero leadership or starch from the Warriors yesterday.

He was held long enough for even women to consider it adequate foreplay. Ref may have been off in lala land, should've called held, but he didn't and the Warriors should never have turned their back. Thought it was f**k ups all around and the Dragons happened to get the benefit this time.

Exactly, simple as that. Warriors fans should be more concerned about blowing a 10-nil lead than a call like that.

If if had been play on for another side, there wouldn't be a thread dedicated to this.

They led 10-0 after 10 minutes, that's a shitload of time to claw back 10 points and the Dragons to their credit did it.

Considering what's happened in the Dragons last few games before this one, it seems like a very odd post.

Oh, plenty of time, absolutely. I'm just not convinced it was the match-defining call, esp when the Wazzas had a lot more ball in the first half.

What if Scott didn't pass the ball to Gaz, but kept running himself when the defenders let him go? Wouldn't that be play on?

The tackle isn't complete until full momentum is stopped, and/or the ref calls held. Fair ball and fair try (albeit lucky).

Rubbish. We copped a ton of poor calls in recent weeks, today was no exception - it was one penalty after another. At the end of the day, a good team beats a bad ref.

You're absolutely kidding yourself that if yesterday the Dragons lost that one in a close one with that non held try being a Warriors try that there wouldn't have been Dragons fans on here going on about it. Btw it was a 6-6 all penalty count.

Dragons lost the Raiders game on a crap ref error.....Rabbitohs loss had some iffy moments too. There was nowhere near the amount of whinging you are talking about or expecting.

You take the good with the bad.....it happens both ways to all teams at some time.

Got to play to the whistle especially considering the haphazard way the game is being refereed.

All players should know that these days nothing is regulated evenly and not to second guess a shaky man with a whistle.

Worse thing about the whole deal was that the most overrated centre in the game gets something for his scrapbook

The exact same thing happened Warriors V Titans at Skilled this year, in the Warriors favor
