There’s obviously issues, can’t be denied.

Issues at the Rabbitohs and dare I say it issues at the eels.

It is a fact of under achievement I guess.
We had issues in 2018 when we ran last. I'm not sure 12 wins from this squad is a sign of internal strife. We just had too many top 17 players unavailable this year.

You would no better than me.

Recruitment and or juniors must be an issue.

At the end of the day you closely follow the team you support so I am not sure where it went wrong for the Eels.

Have to think though, from an outsider, it is a concern why perhaps you aren’t bringing thru talented youngsters. I could be wrong,

I. Must say young Arthur has been pretty impressive for the Sea Eagles in his couple of games starting at the end of this season. Hope he goes on with it.

I think if they could have kept a few players they let go ( or had to let go) before this season I think they would have been in the mix.

It’s frustrating that a handful of clubs can manage their books ok, but for the rest of the clubs, the marquee and sub marquee snout sticks deep into the trough.

A bit different for you guys, Nepean hospital pumping out future nrl players in a special birthing unit.

We have Penisini and Dylan Brown who are both talented youngsters. We also had Mahoney, Kaufusi and Stone who we couldn't afford to keep. That was from our last foray into junior development (pre-2019). Now we have reinvested and are starting to see the benefits again, with our SG Ball winning the comp and many of those players in the Flegg team that just beat Penrith on successive weekends to get to the next round of the finals.

It might all just be a flash in the pan. We'll know in the next year or two.

A big problem for the club is a complete inability to develop elite game breaking talent. Since Ive supported the club starting in 2000 I reckon we have developed three? Lyon, Hayne, Radradra. Compare that to say Melbourne and they'd have a list as long as your arm. Sure they are cap cheats but they did develop those players from with in.

Our hope is that Dylan brown really starts to get it and take over this team.

I feel there will be some resources jokes to follow.

Storm and Roosters have junior teams all over which gives them huge options. As many kids they unearth, they must discard five fold.

It must be like Leilani Lodge at the yearling sales with Ponnisi playing the role of young Cummings, spending millions on behalf of owners.

You still need a good eye though.

I could be wrong, just watched the video, I have no issues with where James Graham was coming from.

Buzz seemed to be coming from his hatred of Gus, rightly or wrongly.

Could argue Graham is trying to help put out a fire, being an ex bulldog and still close to the club (gus?)

Well the fact he said Davey quit because he couldn't make the first grade side but forgot to mention he was injured at the start of the season played week 5 in cup on return then was back in the first grade side prior to coming to the Eels makes me think he is talking BS.

It's just stupid to punish a player by making him wrestle everyone in the team. If for nothing else, it's time consuming and cuts into whatever they were supposed to be doing.

You just pull him aside and tell him it's not acceptable to be late. If he does it again then just stand him down.

I genuinely don't feel Parra has issues internally.
I think it was a terrible season and a poor start dropping so many early games by a few points but we lost our best prop for half the year. Our best edge forward for most the year along with D.Brown for about 8 games and Moses missed I think 7. Along with no real hooker. Lussicks not great but probably a improvement on Hands and Hodgson.
Just need to improve the backline a little. Also not against a new coach instead of Mr Potato Head.

With the way our Sg Ball and Flegg side is going I also think the junior depth is looking promising moving forward. Unsure about 2024 but 2025 the Eels will be a very good football side.

The rabbits have Latrell who seems an issue. Also Cook and Walker getting old. And Ilias is still questionable to wether he is the future. That's 4 big question marks on the 4 most important positions. Also don't get what Wighton brings to the side or where he plays. Seems a bit of a waste of 800k if at centre.

The Dogs may just click. But we still are unsure if Mahoney and Burton are worth those big dollars. Kikau I also think has played his best footy. He may have one more cracking year but I don't see him getting to that 800k+ level. Also blows my mind they let Averilo go along with Ciraldo thinking Perham was a better option. Crazy to think about tbh. I never see sides who just spend big go well long term. Time will tell.
