Jaemon Salmon (remember him?) looked into the camera, pointed to his chest, and shouted, 'Weak. Gutted. Dog!' when he scored a try for Canterbury yesterday.

It seems he's not over that comment Sticky made a couple of years ago.
Nobody does siege mentality like the Dogs of War.

14-0, Sharks at halftime. Gee, Manly don't look to have much, and they've started poorly in the 2nd. You have to make those first one or two tackles.

Manly are a major disappointment this year. They've got quality all over the field but something is wrong, I'm sure Beaver will tell us it's Seibold first and foremost.

...and then Manly score one of the tries of the year. End-to-end: turnover, missed tackles, forwards grubbering, sweet pick-ups, Saab in space, great support by Koula to score.

14-6. Then Brown hitting it up from the backfence on the next set!

...and they're in again, Manly! Easy yards then a try-saving tackle on Tom, then switch to the left, Koula jigging, evading tackles, battles to line, and scores. 14-12.

Big Addin back on though. He could change momentum.

...14-all now. It might be up to the halfbacks...

An idiot play by Garrick who loses it in-goal. Trindell pounces and scores. 20-14, Cronulla. It blew up in-goal too. Plenty was said to the crestfallen Garrick.

30-14, Sharks. Final. Way too good.

It'd be depressing filing out of Brookie on a dark, Sunday night after a loss. I know that feeling.

Seibolds game plans aren’t great, but you’ll go back pre season and I said Paseka is just as important as Tom, and he was lost for the year in round 3. Put Aloiai and Sipley on top of that and the middle has been hammered, Croker hasn’t played a game either

The bloke in the 7 is also playing awful footy as well, running around like a headless chook and putting grubbers in on tackle 0 sum him up at the moment

A round of comebacks and unpredictable results but Melbourne ruin the feelgood vibe.

Look at us go! But as said by others our f/a is rubbish. It means we can slide out of the eight after a couple of losses. This is serious.

The Dogs are on top as they have been for most of the season. If they went all the way then that's, at least, a positive change both for them and the NRL.

What does everyone make of this media beat up with the Penrith tactics ? If you haven’t seen it, their trainer is seen squirting water all over the ball before they kick off in golden point

I don’t have a big problem with it

I wasn't aware of it but to me, that shouldn't be allowed. It's an unnatural state for the ball to be in. If you wiped it with a towel before a tap or whatever, fine - that's the natural state for the ball to be in.

Is it worth a week of media attention ie the Galvin situation? No. But it should be banned. I actually think that sort of stuff is grubby. It's unnecessary.

I also thought Latrell's final second try was a bit grubby, felt a bit yuck. Those Broncos players are entitled to barrel you when you take a knee and surrender, they don't, so you take advantage of it. I imagine they will next time

I think SJ should be happy he didn't start his career later, in this social media/content era. I have no doubt he would have been the sort of guy to start SJ TV (and in fact he sorta still is)

This might make Walsh money but it certainly won't help what he's doing on the field

I remember when James Graham covered his legs in vaseline a few years ago. It wasn't against the rules at the time, many players admitted to doing something similar but Graham was the first to do it so overtly and to that extent, and ultimately the NRL banned it. This could end up the same way.

Seems like it is something they do before every kickoff apparently. Yeah you’re right it’s grubby, not too extreme though and bit of gamesmanship. Bit like the old games you’d see where the ball boys would pass the ball to the home side but place it on the ground for the away side

The Latrell one, could you imagine the carry on if Jordan Riki came in and absolutely cleaned him out when he took a knee

Haha and it was the grub Nate Myles who scooped a handful off his legs and rubbed it all over Grahams face

Like Tapine did to Walsh lol..

I'd have preferred Latrell didnt do it tbh, taking a knee is the universal sign for clocking off the play even if the refs havent officially done it.

But like Tapine did, until the ref actually blows the whistle, everything is fair game... so the Broncs should equally be pissed at themselves.
