casey maclean made one of the poorest decisions ive seen on a footy field for a while. Hope he gave himself 2 or 3 uppercuts after the game.

Panthers will struggle to finish top 2 from here. Cowboys were up for it and Panthers had a lot of mistakes in them again

a couple of interesting things. that penalty the cowboys conceded at the scrum near the end of the game.
Did Panthers really get an advantage from that? It took away their short side play as Cowboys were able to spread across the field.

Also, that pass that Cleary threw when he was lying on the ground. Was he not tackled to get into that position? If Alamoti hadnt gone into touch, and the try won the game, i wonder if there would have been a stink about that.

I think if it was anyone else the Ref would have said he passed it after being tackled

Smart if Cows did that deliberately from the scrum.

No sure if Cleary's ball carrying arm touched the ground?

Great win by South with only 1 man bench for most of the 2nd half. I thought Laterell had a great match esp. his kicking apart from those 40/20 attempts

yeh. not much in it. Classic over correction by the NRL. what else is new?
Yep, I was thinking last night that this was a good week to have a bye. The Judiciary will be full this coming week but no Warriors players!

A hot take with nothing really behind it: Isaiah Papali'i is a destabilizing influence. Very good player, but more about himself than the team.

Another take, less hot: The Panthers are missing JFH setting standards on and off the park.

And a related take: Even last season, the Panthers looked disinterested at times. With even more stars moving on this season, it was likely they'd have to return to the pack at some point.

Still, it's a long season, and I'm sure they'll bounce back.

Ironically I think with JFH there Papali’i would probably be tearing it up like he was at Parra.

Papali’i’s came along at the wrong time, he entered the NRL with a flog like Adam Blair as his mentor coming through. He had a strong year or 2 at Parra, but outside of that he has been a Blair/Tigers and Warriors type of first grader
