What you're starting is true.
But in the working world and SafeCare(WorkCover), it is off the mark.
If you have been injured at work, SafeCare is involved. Then icare (insurance) is part of it.
You're work medical history is pretty much open from then onwards.
If you aren't injured at work then that part is safe from prying eyes.
Most of the players injuries would occur at 'work', so it isn't too far from what us norms have to deal with.
But by the way they have been showing their ignorance towards how the real world has to deal with issues, I'm sure they wouldn't know this.
No, it's not. They can't just share that information to their will.

Players want a cut of any profits when they aren’t taking the risks of hosting it

successful international rl benefits everyone

if it does make a profit one day the players don’t deserve a cut from it other than match payments
Agreed and this is why tournaments like the four nations being played regularly help. You can lock in sponsors, broadcast deals and also get host countries to stump up a bit of cash.

The insurance companies can, and do, if you've had a work related injury, if its called for.
If you go to a new job and don't declare a work related injury and something happens at work, they then investigate, and guess what.... it's all there for them.
I know they do it first hand, so don't tell me that they don't.

peter is exaggerating but clearly enough is enough

the arlc hasnt budged despite their media boycotts

Most players don’t even know what the grievances are

Well, that's on the players.
The information is there to be found, a google search can handle that. Or they are free to call up their representative in the RLPA and ask.

The players have chosen their representatives to take care of this for them. Who cares if they don't know. The RLPA are the ones looking after them. If the players think that the RLPA isn't looking after their interests then they can challenge the leadership and vote in someone else.

On SEN, today

Newton

'The NRL can't tell the players who is going to hold the talks on their behalf'

That would confirm the Crawley article

Well, he's right.
The NRL can't choose who represents the players in these talks. The players have chosen Newton as their leader and they should expect him to be there during any talks held.

Once again, they can choose to find a new leader if they wish.

Employers can only get claim information for the period that the employee worked for them, so no they don't share previous injury information with the new job.

So Newton said he'd step aside and the players have said no they want Newton. Doesn't really fit the narrative that Newton is just in it for his own ego

Had to laugh at Crawley on 360 yesterday having a go at Newton meeting with the Unions boss.
"It's not even a union...it's an association" he said.

No Crawley, it is a union you f**king idiot.

Yep. I'm a member of the NSW Public Service Association, and it most certainly is a union. There are a number of unions throughout Australia that do not have the name "union" in its official name (e.g. Police Association of New South Wales). To make out that the NRLPA is not a union solely because of its name is stupid to say the least.

This article from the Nine news website has an embedded video in it with Clint Newton's appearance on The Today Show earlier this morning -

So both sides comtinue to butt heads and talks go no where.

2 weeks ago he said he'd stand aside if it got a result

DCE said he is happy to meet with PVL to sort it, Newton's ego is in the way

Where did I mention employers?
You guys have to read things better. I said Insurance companies, in the regards to sharing info and the fact it does happen.

Yep, he goes on the program to clear the air and refuses to answer questions.

Vossy had a good point of the 100 items, how many do they need to win to get it ended

Again the devils in the detail. No rlpa hasn’t said they don’t agree with 100 things, that I have seen.
What was said was the rlpa amended a small number of pints and sent it back to arlc. The arlc then changed 100 areas in the agreement. The rlpa questioned why lf nrl is so keen for resolution dod they feel the need at this 11th hour to go back and change 100 things. I can’t find A qoute anywhere other than from thick journalists who are either incredibly con promised in their bias or just plain poor at their jobs where the rlpa has said it disagrees with all 100 changes.

people need to stop listening to journalists, they’ve got no fcking idea! I mean one of them yesterday said the rlpa isnt a union for fcks sake. How much research would he have had to do to fact check that before making it as a statement of fact?

People need to think for a bit vlandys and abdo aren’t pocketing any money saved

their job is administer for the future of the sport

the current playing group have benefited hugely under the current regime and if they stop distracting them in really minor points and get the cba done they will enjoy further huge wage increases as the new tv deal is done

another team will also be added providing jobs for another 35 professional footballers and 100 spots for juniors

Pvl has done more for the players than Newton has
