That is what I believed also OKB1 - that Freddy would be getting rid of the dead wood and as you say take the blues into a new era , one of winning . What has the hairs on the back of my neck dancing is Alexander's comment about Arron Woods - what he needs to do to be selected for the Blues squad - what the f@@k ? ?

The bloke should not be allowed to look at a blue sky let alone a Blue's Jersey ! Has he, Alexander been watching season 2018 or is his mind back in another year ? Unbluudybelievable !

The sooner the NRL kick start the HOLDEN WOMEN’S STATE OF ORIGIN, the sooner we can forget about Woods wasting a forward spot in Freddies team.

They should appoint Alexander as coach, he's already got the skirt size down pat.

That's the first really decent laugh I have had all week ! A real belly buster - my rolls of of flaccid muscle ( fat ) are still quivering as I write !

Mate, Sharon Woods should be shaking hands with the Guildford coach, and even then be sitting on the bench

In my late teens, I played a few games against Guildford Leagues at McCredie Park. So many years ago but at the time this oval had the tallest goal posts in the southern hemisphere.
Hey possum I remember that, I loved those posts, same as Concord oval when it first opened, massive in those days.

I had an idea to build a stadium right above the playing field with a glass floor.

We could sit up there and look down at all the action underneath us. Like spider cam.

Any investors lol?

7 news reporting exclusive blues squad. Frizz in front row?, Aitken depending on tonight’s performance in. JDB lock.

I would pick:

1. Tedesco
2. Trbojevic
3. Mitchell
4. Roberts
5. Addo-Carr
6. Maloney
7. Cleary
8. Campbell-Gillard
9. Cook
10. Klemmer
11. Cordner
12. Frizell
13. Trbojevic

14. Vaughan
15. Crichton
17. De Belin (if fit)
18. Peachey

Might be one front rower short, but can't think of too many others. Maybe either James, Sims or Boyd instead of Crichton or Peachey ???

I doubt that Aitken will be there after tonight's performance. I would have been wrapped for DeBelin to be picked at lock for NSW chances and for DeBelin, but now I think he is better off spending some time on the sideline and coming back fully fit. I think DeBelin should have missed the game against Souths and Canberra.

If they do pick Frizell at prop and he performs as well as I expect him to, then some people on this site may start to agree with me, that he is suited to prop. If he does perform well at prop, then we may be better off moving Frizell to prop and looking for a damaging edge backrower to take his place?

Hard to make a case for JDB, Vaughan or even Sims to be selected on tonight's effort. My guess was JDB was a certainty but now his injury would be too much doubt for Freddie to consider IMO. Vaughan hasn't fired much all year tbh. Sims was a smoky but others will now leap-frog him based on our teams decline over the last month.
Hunt now also in doubt for QLD.
Friz would be our only player selected and that's about it.

Freddie, unlike McGregor, won't go in with broken and busted players.

From NRL.com:

Likely team: James Tedesco, Tom Trbojevic, James Roberts, Latrell Mitchell, Josh Addo-Carr, James Maloney, Nathan Cleary, Reagan Campbell-Gillard, Damien Cook, Paul Vaughan, Tyson Frizell, Boyd Cordner (c), Jake Trbojevic. Interchange: Tyrone Peachey, David Klemmer, Jack de Belin, Angus Crichton. Reserves: Nick Cotric, Tariq Sims, Ryan James.

Love that team, bravo to Freddy and Brandy. There will always be debate on selections and footy supporters will favour players from their own club sides, but that team is very strong. I'm very optimistic about this series!

Looks like Gippsy was spot on if this is the actual team. Nothing I dislike here at all. Go Blues.

Not a bad team tbh, plenty of speed and some fresh faces in the forwards. My only concern would be the defensive capabilities of the backline.
Based on this it would line up as:

1: Tedesco
2. T. Turbo
3. Roberts
4. Mitchell
5. Addo- Carr
6. Maloney
7. Cleary
8. RCG
9. Cook
10. Vaughan
11. Friz
12. Cordner (c)
13. J Turbo
14. Peachey
15. Klemmer
16. JDB
17. Crichton

18. Cotric (on stand-by for Roberts)
19. Sims (on stand-by for JDB)
20. James (on stand-by for ?)

50 000 in a 100 000 seat stadium is going to look pretty ordinary.
They will be passing out free tickets at Flinders Street Station at this stage.

Yeah, there’s a lot of points in that backline, there’s also a lot of points through that backline.
