Graham has a cracked rib, surely he won't be fit for an Origin game let alone a club game this week!

FMD!

left side forwards anyone?

Hoffman is only one I can think off at mo.

Daley's going to be working hard to earn is salary this series.

Honestly, Woods will struggle big time in Origin like last year. Slow props like him, Galloway and Snowden aren't effective because a quick line speed in defence destroys them. Good NRL props, but the pace of Origin is too much for them

We're better off sacrificing a bit of size by playing Merrin at prop instead. Gallen/Tamou/Merrin/Grant is still quality.

Cordner I would have thought, given he is an Australian incumbent.

definitely. was always in my original squad with Bird & Fifita, but I said in my post that I'd leave him out for Game 1.

on second thoughts, perhaps he should be rewarded for bringing Pearce down.

I think they'll go something like

Hayne
Tupou
Jennings
J. Morris
B. Morris
Maloney
Piss
Woods
Farrah
Tamou
Cordner
Lewis
Gallen

Merrin
Watmough
Reynolds
???????

I'm sure they'll come out with something like this, it's not what I'd choose but I'm sure they're thinking along those lines. Let's hope that the mystery man is Tim Grant.

Yeah, I keep considering this flaw in woods and I'm a bit of hypocrite for selecting him considering I was critical of the selection of Galloway a couple of series ago for the same reason. I don't think Aaron as is much of lumbering trunk though.

His club form definitely warrants a position and he probably deserves another shot at rep level. He'll probably only get this final shot to make it right.

Aaron Woods will struggle. I'm just hoping that Gallen and Tamou will be able to carry him or at least take some pressure off him and stop him getting monstered. The loss of Fifita will be huge. I would rather have Tim Grant and Klemmer blooded in as well.

This, will start and is an 80 minute player. Hoffman surely has a bench spot.

players like Hoffman, Scott, Graham who are specific-side edge forwards should start or not be in the squad at all, IMO. I've never ever seen Hoffman not on the left, and never ever seen Scott not on the right. Would be a waste as interchange.

bench is primarily for the middle rotation or players like Lewis who is versatile to play on the edge and the middle.

Didn't he only cop two weeks? Tits have two games between now n origin don't they?

Yes but Bird would have missed the Titans second game as he'd be in origin camp therefore he would have only missed one game before playing for NSW.

Agree 100% -they are big strong hard working props who are guns for their side in the weekly grind of the NRL but SOO is 3 one off games where the speed and intensity is 10x the level of an average NRL game and these types of players have been found out over the last few years at Origin level..

Brent Kite and Jason King are a couple of others that spring to mind.

Galloway was one of the best props in the comp in 2010-2011. He deserved a few cracks at origin. Been terrible the last 2 years though, he shouldn't even be starting for wests IMO.

I'm not sold on woods for origin either yet. He has been better this year then last and is playing with some aggression. I'd have him there but mainly due to lack of other options.

James Gavet is elidgable for nsw and Nz, if Daley wants a monster to come on and rip in for 20mins off the bench he could do worse (not TRex ffs). Obviously it won't happen but I'd expect him to get picked for Nz sooner rather then later and be lost to nsw forever.
