It was a joke JM

Josh is a bandit for making 2 runs then being out of breath

My fault, I should have put a  at the end

Haha apologies, but it is the kind of defence some one-eyed supporters may actually use(not accusing you of being one).

Did they start a thread 'JOEY IS GOING TO JUSTINS CONCERT' after Johns hilarious Bieber dialogue the other night?

How tall is he? Looks short for 115kg. Similar build to AK.

He's more of a Fui Fui Moi Moi build I think he's only about 180cm or so. AK is 6'3 and 114kg, he's got the ideal build for RL, he should be destroying people but he's got a pea heart

Tua and Clacherty have come in for Mitch Williams and Connelly, with Mata'utia moving into centre for Williams, and the two newcomers on the wings.

Score is 16-6 to Knights so far, first one was a nice ball turned inside from Api to Herman (switching his line to run inside), with some lazy Warriors defence on the inside.

Second try was off a scrum 10m out, Ireland showed some light and quick footwork to stand up the centre and when the gap opened - bam he shot through it with some great acceleration.

Ethan Cook blocked a kick with his foot, chased after the ball as it skipped away behind the kicker and ran 60m downfield...but no score after he was tackled.

3rd try was Api taking the ball from dummy half (couple of metres out from the line), beat some defenders with footwork, and just put the ball down on the line.

Warriors try was up the middle, their winger got an offload away, then their hooker broke the line, drew Ireland and put their fullback under the posts. And their centre just bulldozed his way over the line with 3 of our defenders on him.

Score 16-12 Knights

Warriors have scored 42 straight points, I imagine half these guys will be scrapped next week, Matt Ireland is hopeless, can't catch, can't tackle, Nathan Clarke is one of the most out of depth players I've seen in this grade, too small, too slow and a very ineffective tackler. Personally I'd flick Ireland, Clarke, Hermann, Sullivan, and the entire bench and replace them with SG Ball guys.
Sam Lousi looks like Jonah Lomu against our guys. Also when do questions start getting asked of Garth Brennan

Btw I remember Roopy use to talk up Matt Herman, everytime I've seen him play he's looked like a NYC version of Cam Ciraldo

Why does that always happen? We are always in the game then decide to stop playing half way through or what?

Not too bad a summary there, certainly Clarke and Ireland haven't been too flash...be interesting to see next weeks team sheet.

Warriors are too big, strong and able to break tackles and get some good offloads away, really dominating us phyiscally in the 2nd half I think.

Will Smith is a talent though, just had a deft little kick on an already rolling ball for his inside man (Api) to score. Had some good touches and some good cover tackles also.

Edit: Herman is not that bad, at least in attack anyway (ran a great line for his try this week)...only the first game I've seen of these guys all season so I'll form a more solid opinion after a couple more games.

I should also say that there were some brief periods where we showed some steel in defence, and some decent sets in attack on the rare occasions that we had the ball...but then 1-2 mins later we'd fall asleep and they'd score tries that normally shouldn't happen. Frustrating but we were playing the Warriors, who are still a top 4 NYC team again this year.

If you had an ongoing ladder since NYC inception would we be the worst team in the comp?

Constant embarrassment. No heart.

Hopefully this champion SG Ball team gets brought up and given a crack for the rest of this year.

Was just thinking the same thing, our NYC team seems to have a proud tradition of getting pumped every week every year.

Not good enough for a club with such a massive junior base.

Yep. Hasn't been good enough for a while now.

Think I read somewhere earlier this week that out of say the 30 used in SG Ball this year 29 were locals and the only import was the halfback.

Hopefully these last few years have just been a combination of a bad group of juniors + poor recruiment.

Depth is a problem in the middle for us right now. Simms, Mason, Redman and Cooke all were good in the opening 20.

We were right in the fight until our bench props came on.

Our left edge defence in Herman, Smith and Tua was very solid. Looked dangerous in attack and never looked like being broken in defence.

Our right edge is a disgrace.

When they were not busting us up the middle in the middle 40 they were strolling over untouched on the right side.

Terrible to watch.
