No Tyler Sullivan - it would be great if he shows up in Ball - they need a quality half to round out the side.
Our team has cruised through the trials winning easily, and last week they only had to play well for the second half for a win - but this week they play one of the title favourites and will need to bring their A game to be a chance.
I think they are good enough if they turn up to play, but if they are stuck in second gear still, they could get thrashed.
We'll have a fair idea of where they stand after this week.

Neenan Simpson off the bench when the the ruck is starting to loosen in the latter stages of each half could be a match turner. Stoney has got to give this kid a start some time this year if injuries permit. This NYC team is impressive. Mental attitude in first half will be ironed out as season progresses. Big Mase is a replica of his brother.

Neenan would be killed in firstgrade.
He needs a box to stand on to look Luke Walsh in the eye.

Simpson out with concussion - Cordner in.

You need to let go of that tackle Wilson missed three years ago roop.

He was near our best last weekend and was awarded players player.

Credit where credit is due.

But how will i ever forgive him for this?

(I'll forgive him when I see him defend well on the line - and he let in a soft try in the trials last time i saw him play - and three years ago a halfback scored a hat trick by running at Wilson when Hunter SH was defending the line)

NYC: Canterbury – Bankstown Bulldogs v Newcastle Knights
3:15pm Saturday 13 March 2010
ANZ Stadium
1. Neenan Simpson - Tiny aboriginal guy from souths i think - exciting ball runner - and could get killed at any time - so keeps you on the edge of your seat.
2. Aaron Fairweather - huge aboriginal guy up from Ball last season - would be amazing if he ran straight some time
3. Peter Mata’utia
4. Harmony Hunt
5. Nick Dwan
6. Tyrone Roberts
7. Adrian Davis - very clever halfback - back from 2 years at the dogs - angry little guy apparently
8. Jake Finn
9. Alai Taufaao - small, but great vision and excellent passing game - comes from souths i think
10. Cruise Wilson
11. Zane Tetevano
12. Matt Herman - big, lean queensland kid - reminds me of Simmo
13. Ethan Cook (c)
Interchange
14. Rodney Mason - up from Ball - looks like Willie
15. Chad Redman - a future captain in firstgrade - now a hooker - lock in ball last year - centre in Mathews the year before - halfback for Hunter sports high
16. Brendon Simpson - country boy - second rower
17. Tyler Sullivan - future star - played some NYC last year at 16 - should be in Ball winning us a title (along with Redman)
18. Shaun Boss
19. Joshua Ailaomai
Coach: Garth Brennan

Simpson from the bulldogs... went to la salle bankstown with Idris.

Well against the Storm it seems we started well but theyve dropped their bundle now.

We've conceded 26 points in about 20 minutes and are trailing 26-10 in the 30th minute.

Same old sh*t as last year?

Wow since that last post half time has come.

At halftime it is 36-10 to the Storm.

That means we conceded 36 points in 23 minutes as the Storm got their first try in the 17th minute after we were leading 10-0.

f**k that's pathetic.. What happened to anyone who watched it?

62-10 loss
We were handed a lesson by a much better side.
I can't belive many of those are the same blokes who were so terrible in the trial at Charlestown, because on that form, many of them could step into firstgrade.
They were better than us from 1 to 17, and the best Hunter boy on the field was Robbie Rochow - their captain.

Hey guys, i know it looks like the same old thing again, but remember that the Storm where the NYC Champs last season. To get thump by that much is not funny at all, we should look at some ways to improve from last season. This is the 2nd round and we have come up with against two of the heavy weight in NYC but that is no excuse. Boys please, when you put on the Knights colour it should be PRIDE AND GLORY...man, gone the day of PRIDE before MONEY...That's what i teach Charley, when you play, you play with PRIDE in what you wear and who you are playing for, not what you get paid for...and believe me guys, i have seen my boys in action with a lot of PRIDE...i told Rohan last year, that in training and trials you don't see that in Charley but when it comes game times, you will see a different person, just ask some of the players that play against him when he was a centre for the North Lakes Warriors..ask the Umina, the Erina, the Entrance, the Ourimbah boys both under 18, 20, 2nd and first grade...
I wish Garth and the team could see that and give Charley a run to prove it and believe me he won't let anyone down..

Anyhow boys, lift your head up and learn from this to turn it around next week...every success story has a failing part in it, Abraham Lincoln fail many times before he became the most loved President of the United State...Andrew John went through some tough patch in his journey before becoming the greatest player Australia has ever seen and you know what boys...HE DID WITH PRIDE NOT MONEY...
God bless you all ;-)
